Ava DuVernay is not shy when it comes to her sharing opinions on Hollywood and how they treat both people of color and women.

In fact, as a black female director, the Golden Globe-nominee has a personal stake in the matter, which makes her latest news all that more exciting!

While interviewing with Reelblack at the Sundance Film Festival on Wednesday, Ava disclosed that in an effort to promote her peers, her upcoming OWN drama Queen Sugar will feature an all-female directorial team!

Rutina Wesley, Dawn-Lyen Gardner, Kofi Siriboe, and Omar J. Dorsey begin shooting in New Orleans this February, and we cannot wait to see the finished product next season.

Bet we don't see an #EmmysSoWhite later in the year.

The Robert Eggers written and directed film follows a New England family in the 1630s who are forced to move to a plot of land on the edge of a forest after almost being banished by the church!

The Witch Trailer Is Full Of Game Of Thrones Actors And MIND-BLOWINGLY HORRIFIC THINGS!

We've known for a while now that James Franco was set to play gay opposite Zachary Quinto in their new movie I Am Michael… but now we get to see even MORE proof!

Photos of the the indie biopic have been trickling out for a few days now, but another set from the new Sundance movie have just been released, and we're pretty pumped to see where these pics lead.
