Check Out All Of The Highlight's From This Year's Puppy Bowl HERE!

It may have been a nail-biter of a Super Bowl this year for both Pats AND Giants fans, but to be fair, so was Animal Planet's 8th annual Puppy Bowl!

Thankfully, for all of our furry little love-muffins, Puppy Bowl referee Dan Schachner explains:

"The rules are a little looser than your regular NFL game."

But that doesn't mean there weren't any exciting plays!

And by plays, we mean adorable puppies playing with each other and some very chew-worthy toys!

Ch-ch-check out some HIGHlights from the big game (above) and some more - including our new favorite and MVP, Aberdeen the Australian Shepherd mix…AFTER THE JUMP!

PETA Releases Worst Super Bowl Commercials List!

Filed under: ZportzSad SadPETAIcky Icky Dog PooDogAnimal CrueltyChimpanzee

Well, this certainly takes the fun out of these!

But we're glad to be informed of the really tragic reality behind something that appears so harmless and cute!

PETA has released their list of the best and worst Super Bowl commercials regarding the treatment of animals, and while advertisers like Kia and Budweiser were rated among the favorites, it was CareerBuilder that was rewarded the Ass-Backwards Corporation of the Year Award for its clip (above) which features baby chimpanzees, despite being aware that they are notoriously taken away from their mothers after birth, and trained violently for usage in the media, before being discarded at roadside zoos!

Just terrible!

Meanwhile, Sketchers was also noted for their promotion of dog racing in their ad (after the jump!), which is also notorious for its less-than-stellar treatment of greyhounds while they can race, and once they are too old or injured, are discarded or put down!

So unfortunate. We sincerely hope that these companies take the time to get educated on what has proven to be very irresponsible marketing, and ensure that their commercials reflect such in the coming years!

For Puppy Bowl VIII, the folks at Animal Planet wanted to do something a bit extra special.

What did they do? They got Piglet Cheerleaders!

Four piglet, Hank, Beulah, Khalessa, and Othello, were brought in to give the head cheer-piggy, Bubbles, some support.

Bubbles looked so adorable and strutted herself around the field, smiling for the cameras.

Miss Piggy better run for her money!

Check out Bubbles backstage as she gets ready to cheer on her puppies!

Coke Is Bringing Back The Polar Bears For The Super Bowl!

coke-bear-polar-ad.jpg

Coke is really bringing their advertising game into the future.

Not only are they bringing back those cute polar bears as their spokes'bears' (yay!) they are going to have a social media live cast of the bears appearing to watch the game on their website CokePolarBowl.com.

A family of polar bears will be watching the game as it happens and reacting to everything from touchdowns, to bad calls, to too sexy for the cubs lingerie commercials.

The bears have hundreds of reactions and will be live "puppeted" by Coke people, who will also be live Tweeting during the game on behalf of the bears.

A spokes'human' said:

"The trick is to be everywhere consumers are."

Which is not only on the TV but also on the internet where it's estimated (by us, and wrongly) that everyone will be watching the Super Bowl.

Unless of course they're watching the Puppy Bowl!

Regardless we can't wait to see the Coke polar bears back in action!

Shortly after the New York Giants won and secured their spot in the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots, the starting lineup for Puppy Bowl VIII was announced.

These pups are so insanely cute it's painful.

We would give anything to be in the middle of that field, playing with those puppies.

Last year 9.2 million people tuned in to watch the Puppy Bowl! That's crazy.

This year's Puppy Bowl will be on Animal Planet. It begins at 3 p.m. EST on Sunday, February 5th.

We will definitely be watching this year.

Check out some pics of the whole adorbz lineup below.
