The Kansas City Pet Project has gotten ahold of a puppy who survived nearly a month locked in an impounded car!!!

The puppy's name is Kia, and is only 12 weeks old, and apparently survived by eating trash that was left in the car. Kia had NO access to any water!!!

Bella, a courageous and beautiful black Lab, enjoyed a happy walk with her owner Chris Sexton on the seaside cliffs of Dorset England.

Then a seagull caught her eye and she went after it, going over the edge of the cliff and landing on the beach below.

Several new species were recently described.

There was a scary skull-faced sneezing monkey, a new mushroom species named after SpongeBob SquarePants and a worm that lives almost a mile underground named for the devil, the Devil Worm.

What is believed to be a bull shark mauled a surfer while he was surfing off Australia's Gold Coast.

The shark's bite went to the bone and tore up his Achilles tendon!

One of his surfer friends said:

"There were two bites. One is sort of half in his calf, that's taken a big chunk out of that.

The other one is down to his heel. It's just right down to the bone. You could see the bone."

That's crazy!

He was taken to a hospital and is excepted to survive his injuries.

He is apparently in good spirits.

A female Vietnamese Pot-bellied Piglet was born at the Wroclaw Zoo in Poland.

Sadly, her two siblings didn't survive the birth, but she did!

A family recently lost their father when he was skiing and a huge avalanche struck in Montana.

The mother was there as well but she survived.

The family dog was caught in the same avalanche and presumed dead…

Until he showed up alive four days later to shine a single ray of happiness in what we're sure is the darkest time in this poor family's life.
