The Alabama-based law firm that filed a class-action lawsuit against Taco Bell's "beef" in January has withdrawn their case.

The law firm claimed that the "beef" they serve only contains 36% ACTUAL beef and the restaurant is therefore misleading customers.

However, the plaintiffs have reportedly withdrawn the lawsuit after Taco Bell made changes to its marketing and product disclosure.

An attorney form the firm said:

"From the inception of this case, we stated that if Taco Bell would make certain changes regarding disclosure and marketing of its `seasoned beef' product, the case could be dismissed."

Taco Bell seems pretty proud of their victory and at one point, actually THANKED the law firm for suing them by launching an aggressive marketing strategy to fight the "false claims" and prove the quality of their meat.

After the suit was withdrawn, Taco Bell CEO Greg Creed said in an interview:

"This sets the record straight about the high quality of our seasoned beef and the integrity of our advertising. We took great exception to the false claims made about our seasoned beef and wish the attorneys had contacted us before filing and publicizing a lawsuit that disparaged our brand."

But that would ruin the element of surprise! Ha!

It looks like everything may be cleared up, however, in the statement "thanking" the accusers, the company did say:

"We take any claims to the contrary very seriously and plan to take legal action against those who have made false claims against our seasoned beef."

Will Taco Bell file a countersuit for profits lost due to the brand disparagement?

Regardless of any lawsuits, claims, or beef percentages thrown out by both parties, we still recommend going just about anywhere else for any Mexican dishes.

Taco Bell is quick and cheap, but it's not exactly authentic. If you've never tasted REAL Mexican food, you're definitely missing out!

Don’t mess with someone who wants a cheap taco!

A man in Texas became upset when he found out the price of the Beefy Crunch Burrito had risen $.50 to $1.49.

After ordering seven of them and seeing his receipt he became angry and pulled out a BB gun, firing at the cashier before running out to the parking lot.

The police chased him down, and he then shot at them with an assault rifle he had in his car — shattering the cops’ windshield.

After hiding in a hotel room and forcing the cops to bring in a SWAT team for a standoff, he finally surrendered and is facing numerous charges.

WTF.

That’s all we have to say about this… WTF.
