A doctor is accusing Delta Airlines of discrimination this week after a flight attendant refused her help — all because the attendant didn't believe the young black woman was actually a doctor!
Tamika Cross was on a flight to Detroit on Sunday when she heard a woman a few rows ahead screaming that her husband was unresponsive.
The medical professional said she volunteered to help after a flight attendant shouted "Call overhead for a physician onboard," but the airline employee doubted her claims she was a physician!
Recapping the incident on Facebook, she explained:
"I raised my hand to grab her attention. She said to me, 'Oh no, sweetie. Put your hand down. We are looking for actual physicians or nurses or some type of medical personnel. We don't have time to talk to you.'"
