What a cutie!

At Busch Gardens Tampa Bay the first baby reticulated giraffe of 2012 was born on January 27th.

The newborn, was 6' 2" and weighed about 176 pounds.

Which is CRAZY for a newborn anything! But standard for giraffes.

The park now has 19 giraffes.

After a few months nursing and being watched by zoo keepers, the young baby will be introduced to the public.

She will live with the rest of her herd on the Serengeti Plain habitat which is 65-acres of free space to roam through!

Once she's old enough to head there, people will be able to get close enough to feed her during an open-truck tour!

So cool.

At Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay, the zookeepers added some oversized pumpkins to the cheetah habitat for Halloween.

Cheetahs are normally strictly only carnivores but they were very curious over the new smells and textures of the big orange squashes.

Kasi and Mtani, a cheetah and dog who've grown up together, and two other adolescent female cheetahs, were playing with the pumpkins as a form of enrichment, which is something meant to challenge and stimulate the animals.

Zookeepers use food and toys to keep the animals engaged and stimulated, mentally and physically, to keep them nice and healthy.

Looks like fun!

Oh, geesh! We hope you're taking care of yourself!

Smashing Pumpkins lead singer Billy Corgan was performing with the band in Tampa Bay, Florida last night when he lost consciousness and passed out in the middle of a song!

He clarified the events on his Twitter this morning and writes:

And for those that saw me fall last night during Bullet, that wasn't a stage move or clumsiness, that was me blacking out and wiping out.

I have no memory of falling against the drum riser and my guitar cabinet, but I can tell you I've got quite a good bruise + am moving slow

He should probably get checked out!

People just don't black out for no reason!
