Good for her!!
One of Iranian's biggest stars, Taraneh Alidoosti, is taking a stand against Donald Trump! Yas!
Even though the 33-year-old actress' movie The Salesman is nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, she has decided to boycott the Oscars this year in light of Drumpf's "racist" visa ban.
In case you're unfamiliar, reports surfaced yesterday of the newly-elected POTUS' plans to stop all visa applications for a month from seven countries in Africa and the Middle East, including Iran.
In response, Miz Alidoosti took to social media to announce her decision to not attend Hollywood's biggest night:
Trump's visa ban for Iranians is racist. Whether this will include a cultural event or not,I won't attend the #AcademyAwards 2017 in protest pic.twitter.com/CW3EF6mupo
