Taryn Manning might not get what she wants this time!
According to court docs obtained by Daily Mail, New York City has filed to have Taryn's $10 million dollar lawsuit against them thrown out. The actress originally filed a claim against the city for allegedly unlawfully arresting her back in 2014.
Here's what went down for those who don't remember — back in 2014, Manning was arrested for making threats against her alleged stalker and former friend Jeanine Heller. The two have been in a contentious back and forth battle for years.
While the actress seemingly proved to cops that Jeanine was actually the one harassing her, the arrest was voided by police. Despite the void, somehow authorities managed to leak the legal scandal to the media.
Due to the ordeal, the Orange Is the New Black star decided to sue the city for damages against her reputation as well as emotional distress, hours of detention, and attorney fees.
Now the city is firing back HARD — saying that the arresting officer had enough probable cause to hold Manning. Not to mention Jeanine is also fighting against Taryn saying she has evidence that her ex-lover falsified those stalking allegations!
To make matters against T.M. worse, she filed the suit after the allotted 90-day period… which means her outcry is worthless at this point.
The city explained:
"Petitioner waited 14 months and 21 days to seek leave to file a late notice and has failed to offer any authority as to why such a delay would not substantially prejudice the City."
So, whose side are you on?
