Amy Schumer & Serena Williams Go Topless For The Revamped Pirelli Calendar

The Pirelli Calendar gets a makeover.

What a makeover!

The Pirelli Calendar has historically been about artsy photographs of classically beautiful models in states of undress, and sometimes just fully nude, but not this time!

For 2016 the iconic calendar has decided on a wholly new approach that may be shocking for people used to the sexy, beach-y vibe of previous years.

This time the focus is on women's achievements, and instead of professional supermodels, the photos are of writers, directors, singers, and philanthropists like Yoko Ono, Ava Duvernay, Tavi Gevinson, Patti Smith, and others.

There is some nudity however — Amy Schumer and Serena Williams both strip down and go topless, but the images are nonetheless not as sexually charged as before.

Tavi Turns Editor

Tavi Gevinson is once again proving how powerful she is in the fashion industry.

The 13 year old Style Rookie announced on her blog she's relaunching Sassy magazine, one of her favorites, with the founding editor Jane Pratt.

Kids these days, right?

Tavi made sure to mention that the relaunch of Sassy won't be a "rebirth". She explained:

For one, you can't try to recreate something that good. For another, while I can read old issues of Sassy and relate, the world has changed a bit in the past 15 or so years, and that whole Internet thing happened, and this world calls for something different. Something that will use Sassy as a point of reference for the whole teen-magazine-that-doesn't-suck thing, and something in which Jane Pratt will take part, but something that is not trying to recreate the other something a bunch of us love and don't want to see copied.

The fashion wunderkind didn't reveal when the premiere issue will make its debut, but we're sure the industry will be buzzing when it does.

Tavi Goes From Blogger To Fashion Star

At only 14 years old, Tavi Gevinson has become one of the fashion industry's most loved teens.

Tons of adoring fans lined up to see the awkward looking girl, who rose to fame with her blog Style Rookie, at Barney's Fashion's Night Out. She even got a hug from Anna Wintour.

Some people even believe she'll be the editor-in-chief at Vogue someday, and others think it's only a matter of time before she becomes irrelevant.

For example, Elle's Joe Zee questions if Tavi even writes her own blog because when it comes to fashion history "I don’t think Tavi knows what happened five years ago."

Designer Christopher Kane adds "No one who wants to read a serious review of a show is going to look at what a 14-year-old thinks."

Hmm, we're sensing a backlash.

Guess we'll find out next season.
