Lauryn Hill is already facing up to three years in prison for federal tax evasion, but now New Jersey is going after her for not paying taxes too!

The state issued a civil judgement in June which found the Fugee owed $446,386 in unpaid taxes.

Fortunately for her, those charges won't lead to more jail time since the debt is a civil liability as opposed to a criminal one.

We hope this gurl can get her life back in order after this financial and legal blow. We'll find out in November whether or not she's going to prison and if so, how long she'll be there.

Looks like someone’s in some big trouble with the government!

Earlier this month, we reported how Lauryn Hill was in deep shiz with the IRS for tax evasion!

Well now, Hill has just pleaded guilty to tax evasion charges in federal court…after failing to file THREE years worth of taxes on her $1.8 million income!!

The hip-hop songstress will be sentenced in late November and could be facing up to THREE years behind bars!

Not only that, but she could have to pay $75k in fines as well!

Lauryn’s attorney is now claiming that she was unfairly targeted because of her celeb status and stated:

"There are many people in society who fail to file their taxes on time who only face civil liability. They chose Ms. Hill in particular because of who she was."

Not so sure we agree with that one…!

Simple solution??? Pay your taxes in the first place!

Guess we'll have to wait until November to see what becomes of Mz. Hill!!

There's no evading this order!

Prosecutors will finally get their day in court with Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana after a judge in Milan gave the go ahead to try the designers for not declaring taxes on over $1.25 BILLION in revenue.

As we mentioned last year, a judge cleared the duo of all charges in April, but was ultimately overturned in November after prosecutors appealed the decision.

So far there's no date set for a trial, but after Stefano's innocent tweet on Friday, it sounds like settling out of court isn't going to be an option.

Do you know what today is? Don't be smart, we know it's Leap Day, but do you know what else happened today? Ja Rule was born! Oh yeah! And he finally got to celebrate his birthday on the day he was actually born for once!

Unfortunately, thanks to tax evasion on $3 million worth of earnings in the last decade, the rapper and actor has to celebrate from prison.

He did get one birthday treat, however. He was able to talk to the outside world when he called into “Big Poppa” Gary Spears' radio show on KISS FM.

In case you're wondering what prison is like, "It's definitely not like Shawshank Redemption," according to Ja. Instead, Ja Rule compares life in the slammer to Groundhog Day because "every day is the same day all over again."

All in all, it sounds like Mr. Rule is doing pretty well while serving his 28-month prison sentence. He's described as "a model inmate" who has not only put on about 25 pounds of muscle, but he got his GED!

We're so happy to hear he's taking advantage of his incarceration to turn a negative into a positive! Happy Birthday, Ja!
