Despite all her family problems, 17-year-old Samantha Garvey has dedicated herself to studying science. She hopes that, through a career in science, she can make a better life for herself and family!

Then (cause Ellen is better than Santa Clause) she gave Sam a $50,000 scholarship to the college of her choice!!!

We don't know what it is about soldiers being reunited wither their families, but this gets us EVERY time!

Sgt. Brett Randall had been in Afghanistan for 6 months and didn't tell his family he was coming home for Christmas. So, the tricky service man decided to surprise his wife and child at his 4-year-old daughter's holiday dance recital.

Needless to say, there was tears and cheers — especially from his wife and daughter!!

Obvi, the parents in struggling to stay awake during a little children's dance recital were grateful for the touching interruption.

8-year-old Jadzia Acosta biggest wish in the world was to meet her hero: Miely Cyrus.

That dream came true when the Make A Wish Foundation arranged for Jadzia and her mother from to come all the way from Miami to meet Cyrus at the Sanrio Store in South Coast Plaza over the weekend.

Jadzia had earlier squealed wioth delight upon meeting the life-sized Hello Kitty mascot in the store, but Miley?

Jazdia said: "I felt happy. A lot, a lot, a lot!"

That must have been an incredible feeling for MiCy!!

During her interview with Bob Simon on 60 Minutes, Angelina Jolie got teary-eyed when talking about her beloved mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who passed away 4 years ago.

When she begins to talk about how wonderful of a mother she was, Angie chokes back tears when she says, "I will never be as good a mother as she was."

They obviously had a very strong mother-daughter bond. So touching.
