This Portable Desktop Microwave Is Just More Proof That We're Living In The Future RIGHT NOW!

Filed under: Wacky, Tacky & TrueTech TalkFoodScience!

This new portable microwave will allow you to cook food AT YOUR DESK!

Chances are that if you've ever worked in an office building, you KNOW the struggle of using a communal microwave is VERY real!

First, you have to grab your food and take it ALL the way to the break room, which is more than likely a million miles from your desk! Then, you probably have to wait for one of your coworker's food to cook, even though it's been in the microwave for at least 10 minutes! Finally, you get to stick your food in a dirty microwave that smells like burned popcorn and failure!

Well those days will soon be a thing of the past, thanks to the Brainwave!

google making smart contact lens so coolGoogle is literally bringing the human race into the future! Well, more like Google is bringing the future to us!

They've singed a deal with Novartis, a huge company in the health and science industry, to bring us a smart contact lens. They're going to make a lens that monitors glucose levels (for diabetic patients) and one that treats farsightedness.

That's so amazing, those are incredible medical advances… but that's not the cool part!

brain implant edit

Science, for the win!

Four years ago, a tragic diving accident paralyzed Ian Burkhart, leaving him unable to move his arms or legs. Until this week…

The 23-year-old quadriplegic patient has been working with surgeons at the Ohio State University and researchers at the Battelle Memorial Institute on a new technology called Neurobridge.

Using an implant inserted and connected to Ian’s brain, he’s able to move his arm and hand using his own thoughts for the first time since his accident!

Incredible!

But how does it work??

Study Finds 11% Of Americans Think HTML Is A STD! And That's Not Even The Worst Part Of The Survey!

Filed under: Wacky, Tacky & TrueSilly!GIFs

Considering we live in the so-called "Digital Age," you would think most people are pretty well-versed when it comes to technology! However, a recent study found that was NOT the case!!

A website known as vouchercloud decided to put Americans to the test by giving 2,392 men a women ages 18 and up a list of both technology-related and non-technology-related terms. Participants then had to try and pick the correct definition of each term out of three possible options, completely unaware of what they were being tested on.

The results were embarrassing to say the least, as they found 11% of Americans thought HTML was a STD! But the buck doesn't quite stop there as there were even more strange findings, including:

Is This Too Much?? Here's A Promo For The 24 Hour Oscar Pistorius Trial Channel!

Remember that South African 24 hour news station created specifically for the Oscar Pistorius trial that's starting in a few weeks?

Yeah, it's got a promo now (above) — and it doesn't convince us that it's necessary OR entertaining to devote so much time to such a trail spawned from an awful and tragic event.

We get it, people are interested. The problem we have is that it was a loss of life regardless if it was murder or an accident, and Reeva Steenkamp deserves better than the media whirlwind around Oscar because he's more famous than the average person!

News and trial results are instant enough with technology nowadays that people do not need a 24 hour channel devoted to a poor woman losing her life on Valentine's Day because her boyfriend shot her through a bathroom door.

Is this exploitation or not?

Bionic Hand Allows Amputee To Feel Again!! This Is So Touching! Literally!

A new bionic hand actually allows its amputee users to feel objects again!!

Wow… this is so incredible!

No matter how complicated and advanced prosthetics become, they won't feel real.

What's the point in being able to pick up a penny if you can't pet a fuzzy bunny right afterwards?

Sure, you could touch the bunny, but could you feel its soft, furry incredibleness??

Not until now!! There's a new bionic hand that allows amputees to actually feel again! It's like some Star Wars style technology because it gets hard-wired into your body!

They actually attach wires to your nerves so you can literally "feel" different objects!!

Check out the video to see this incredible new technology AFTER THE JUMP!!!

David Beckham Shows That Book Signings Can Be Sexy In London!

david beckham has another book signing in london

We had no idea that book signings could be so sexy!!

Then again, David Beckham could probably read names from the phone book and we'd probably be into it! Wait, do they even make phone books anymore?

Anyway, that's besides the point! Becks had yet another book signing at Waterstones Piccadilly in London for his eye-candy filled literary masterpiece!

However, unlike last time it was not the cool kind of signing that involved iPads and futuristic space age technology. It was the regular boring kind that involved actual books and pens!!

Ok, so we guess it wasn't all that boring. After all, it DOES mean fans got to meet Becks face-to-face AND he actually touched their books! Not bad at all!

Ch-ch-check out more pics from his signing (below)!
