Welcome The Era Of Calorie Counting Vending Machines!

vending machines calorie counters technology

Damn, technology! Can you give us a break??

LOLz!

In all honesty, this is a GREAT idea!

Maybe education is the key, instead of a city-wide ban on the quantity of drinks? That could be the mindset behind new vending machines that give out calorie information… and yell at you if you're being a fatty! Ha!

Wouldn't it be great if the Earth just naturally gave us everything we needed to run all our electronics and helped us to stop polluting so much?

Well two new studies have found that the Earth does actually have enough wind to power the whole world!

Usain Bolt: Not Faster Than The Cheetah Robot!

Oh man!

Imagine having one of THESE things chasing you down!

It's much more palatable to imagine Usain Bolt chasing you down — plus you'd have a .5 mph better chance of getting away!

This thing is insane — and an absolutely huge can of nightmare fuel!

Watch (above) at your own risk!!

LOLz!

Can Mind Reading Technology Hack Your Brain??

eeg-used-to-read-brainwave-hack-mind.jpg

A computer scientist at Oxford recently read the brainwaves of test subjects using a standard brainwave reader (EEG) and a video game controller!

So instead of celebrity phone hacking scandals, are we looking at celeb brain hacking?!

The study had participants look at numbers, names, logos and people.

The researchers were looking for something called a P300 response, a specific brainwave pattern that happens when someone relates to or recognizes something.

So they can't go in your brain and retrieve information, but they could do something like show you sets of numbers and see if any of them are familiar. Like how credit card numbers or a social security number might be familiar.

This is only the very beginning of the technology but it's kinda scary people can sort of read your mind already.

Let's hope they invent Magneto's helmet before this technology gets perfected. LOLz!

Hospitals Hype Robot Surgery For Women

Robot Surgery Hype

Advertising is almost always super shady, and there's no exception for hospitals.

We're talking about those that are promoting robotic surgery for women, and how women "owe it" to themselves to have the gynecological procedures done by Johnny 5 (seriously, one in six say they owe it).

Ice Cream Truck App: Taking All The Fun Out Of It

Uber Ice Cream

Remember when you were a kid? Remember how awesome it was to hear that ice cream truck, run outside to see that it was the legit truck and not that shady guy's van again, and get yourself some cold deliciousness??

It was the best!

Now, because technology is trying its hardest to destroy our childhood happiness, there's a new app that will literally beckon the truck to your door.

No running or excitement involved.

Boo.

So if you live in San Francisco, New York, Seattle, Chicago, Boston, Washington or Toronto you may soon be able to call the ice cream truck using Uber, which is normally used for calling a car.

Here's what general manager Michael Pao has to say:

“We’re offering a new way to experience ice cream similar to transportation. Opening your app and tapping a button and having something show up is magical when it comes to transportation. We feel it will be magical for other things too.”

Nothing magical about ruining one of the best parts of being a kid!

At least with the old fashioned way you got some exercise chasing down the truck before you gained it back in frozen treats.

Shame on you!

Do U feel the same way??
