In fact, Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis' movie has claimed the highest-grossing opening for a non-sequel, R-rated comedy.

We pretty much expected this, given yesterday's numbers, but it's still VERY IMPRESSIVE!

While the box office has been pretty dominated over the course of last month with children's fare, such as Brave and Madagascar 3, it was the raunchy R-rated Ted and its equally inappropriate, g-string laden partner-in-crime, Magic Mike, which took in the number one and two spots this weekend!

The Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis flick from Seth MacFarlane earned itself $54.1 million at 3,239 screens the past three days, which puts it behind The Hangover Part II and Sex & The City as the third-best debut for an R-rated comedy ever!

Meanwhile, Channing Tatum's ass brought started out on its opening day with $19.4 million, and managed to bump that all the way to a number two box office spot with $39.2 million!

AH-mazing!

Especially since NEITHER of these were predicted to be huge smashes!

Guess a little advertising and a LOT of male nudity go a LONG way! Ha!

Waves of excited girls (and guys) squealed watching Steven Soderbergh's masterpiece Friday night.

The stripperific Magic Mike earned an overwhelming $19.4M opening night, far exceeding expectations.

The film is estimated to reach $40M this weekend… that's a lot of sweaty $1 bills!

But even with all the cheeks and shadow dick, it still didn't win #1.

Sitting in the throne is Seth MacFarlane's Ted, with $20M. Teddy Ruxpin must be so pissed!
