Justin Bieber's Mom Is Producing An Anti-Abortion Film!

justin bieber mother pattie mallette producing anti abortion film

We STILL can't believe that Justin Bieber was very close to never coming into this world, because his mother, Pattie Mallette, very much considered having an abortion when the then-teenager discovered she was pregnant with him!

But obviously, she changed her mind at the last minute, and has since used her son's worldwide fame as a platform to speak out on behalf of the pro-life movement with her memoir, Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber's Mom, which chronicled the addiction and abuse that led to her teenage pregnancy…and now, she's taking the message to the big screen!

According to new reports, Mallette served as an executive producer for an anti-abortion short film called Crescendo, which will be released February 28th with the proceeds going to pregnancy centers!

As she says in statement:

Alexa Vega To Star In Lifetime Movie About Fake Teen Pregnancy

Besides MTV, Lifetime is second in line in teen pregnancy content.

On the heels of last year's original movie Pregnancy Pact, the network has greenlighted another original movie called The Pregnancy Project.

The movie, which will star Spy Kids' Alexa Vega, is based on the true story of 17-year-old high school student Gaby Rodriguez who pretended to be pregnant as an experiment on social stereotypes and the treatment of pregnant teens in high school!

Oooh, how interesting!

The movie will be written by Teena Booth, who also co-wrote Pregnancy Pact.

Not gonna lie, we fully enjoyed The Pregnancy Pact so we're looking forward to another teen drama on Lifetime.

Count us in!

Bristol Palin's Message About Teen Pregnancy

Thanks for taking the time to do this, Bristol!

Check out the video (above) of Bristol Palin talking about teen pregnancy with HLN's Dr. Drew.

We think it's great that she's using her experience as a teen mom as an opportunity to warn/educate others about the realities of being a teenage mother.

What do U think of Bristol's message? Do U agree with what she's saying here?

Bristol Palin Clarifies That Levi Didn't Rape Her When He “Stole” Virginity

Last week, an excerpt from Bristol Palin's new memoir Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far revealed the intimate details of how Bristol became a teen mom. For the first time, she revealed how she infamously got involved with Levi Johnston one evening after drinking one too many wine coolers and woke up the next day with Levi and virginity gone.

The picture she paints left many to wonder if Bristol was suggesting that Levi took advantage of her against her will, coercing her into a situation she didn't really want to be in. However, this morning, Bristol sat down for an interview with Good Morning America to clarify her "stolen virginity" comments. She explains:

Rosie O'Donnell Defends Teen Mom!

She makes some decent points!

Rosie O'Donnell is the latest celebrity to speak out against the MTV reality show Teen Mom, but surprisingly, came to its defense!

She explains:

"I have to say it's interesting. My daughter is 13. I watch it with her. I think the fantasy for adopted children is to have a baby of their own, and then keeping it, which their mother did not do. The rate of teenage pregnancy is up, so when my daughter saw that [Teen Mom 2] was on the air, I said 'Let's watch it.' At the end of almost every episode the mothers say they wish they used protection or waited, 'My whole life is over,' or 'I can't live the life of a teenager.' I think it sends out a positive message. I do feel sad that all these girls are getting pregnant in an effort to get on a TV show. That's a little tragic."

While the show definitely does not present the material as glamorizing teen pregnancy, we definitely think that there are some teenagers out there who may look at it as an opportunity to become famous, and that's what personally concerns us!

We commend Rosie for being aware enough of what her daughter is watching to sit down and view it with her, and we hope that other parents of teens out there do the same!

Teen Moms Strike Back Against Kim K!

teen mom vs kim k

Yesterday, Kim Kardashian took to her blog to speak up against teen pregnancy and the Teen Mom series.

Looks like she hasn't made any new friends with Teen Mom stars Amber Portwood and Jenelle Evans, who have spoken out against her.

Here's what Amber had to say about Kim's comments:

"There's actually a study that shows since the original 16 and Pregnant aired, the number of teen pregnancies have gone down."

"Last time I checked, Kim Kardashian had a sex tape floating around on the internet and I'm pretty sure she made a lot of money off of it. She made a sex tape when she was younger and she wants to bash the girls on Teen Mom? If you read the articles about the show, they do nothing but talk about how the show reveals how hard it is for all of us. It doesn't glamorize anything! It shows the heartache we've all gone through."

"We may be ‘celebrities' because our face is out there, but it's only because we've done some bad things. That's not glamorous."

Here's Jenelle's slightly less extensive response to Kim K:

"I want to say, s–t happens."

While we appreciate the fact that Jenelle Teen Mom Amber seems to have put quite a bit of thought into her response, we've still gotta agree with the bulk of what Kim had to say on the subject.

As we mentioned before, we wholeheartedly agree with Ms. Kardashian's recommendation that teens "think very carefully" before making the choice to be sexually active, and that they should talk to their "family, friends, teachers, and most of all, be careful."

Who do U side with? Team Teen Moms? Team Kim K? Team Jenelle Evans?
