Well, this is a interesting decision.
Normally, New Year's Eve TV programming is dominated by various countdown specials and live events. But this year, don't expect to find any of that on MTV!
Instead of airing an extravagant segue into the new year, the popular network is instead going to air a Ridiculousness marathon as 2015 comes to a close.

Yup, you read that right! The channel is passing on its usual countdown to air re-runs of Rob Dyrdek's hilarious yet cringe-worthy clip show.
But when the clock strikes midnight, viewers — if there are any — will get a glimpse of the Teen Wolf mid-season premiere, because MTV is ringing in 2016 with the show's six-minute cold open.
Okay, we guess that's kind of a big deal, since the series returns on January 5.
But after the quick clip, the network plans on picking up right where it left off, meaning MORE Ridiculousness! The marathon is scheduled to continue until 7 a.m.
We aren't sure why MTV pulled the plug on its NYE programming, which it has been airing just about every year since its creation in 1981.
However, we do know that last year's Times Square special, hosted by Victoria Justice and Charlamagne, was trimmed down to only an hour long.
What do U think of this, Perezcious readers?
