How do you solve a problem like Maria Sharapova?

Well, according to her former coach, you don't have to — because she didn't do anything wrong in the first place!

The tennis star is currently under fire after admitting to failing a drug test at the Australian Open last week, and while she's been suspended from playing for the time being, one industry pro is still on her team.

Coach Robert Lansdorp trained Maria back when she was just 11 years old, and now he's saying there's "no way in hell" that the 28-year-old would intentionally break the rules!

In fact, the tennis mentor spoke to the Daily Mail on Tuesday accusing the World Anti-Doping Agency of causing a witch hunt, saying:

Harsh! But is it over the line?

Maria Sharapova was once the highest paid female athlete in the world, but after announcing she failed a drug test during the Australian Open on Monday, her tennis career could now be in jeopardy!

The 28-year-old Olympic silver medalist's suspension goes into effect on March 12 and she's already been dropped to varying degrees by Nike, Porsche, and TAG Heuer, but now the people behind the decision to make Meldonium an illegal performance enhancing drug in 2016 are speaking out against her.

Well this is bad!

Tennis star Maria Sharapova was busted for a drug called meldonium on Monday — and now, a Russian speed skater has been nabbed by an anti-doping agency for traces of the very same drug in HIS system!

World champion speed skater Pavel Kulizhnikov failed his doping test, according to the athlete's coach, Dmitry Dorofeev — but the coach refused to say when or where the skater tested positive for the drug.

The World Anti-Doping Agency added the drug on their banned list on January 1, and while Dorofeev claims that Kulizhnikov took it last year before it became banned, it's not clear whether he did it knowingly after the first of the year.

Either way, the speed skater has to serve a doping ban now — and the five world championship gold medals he's won since the start of 2015 are just going to have to sit on the shelf!

For what it's worth, Kulizhnikov also served a doping ban from 2012 to 2014, after he tested positive for a separate drug… so, yeah…

This drug is becoming a real problem!

On Monday, Maria Sharapova admitted to failing a drug test during this year's Australian Open.

Despite explaining that she's been taking Meldonium — a non FDA-approved drug — for 10 years for health issues, Maria was still "provisionally suspended" starting on March 12 by the International Tennis Federation.

Well there's more bad news for the blonde beauty as Nike, Porsche, and TAG Huer are all distancing themselves from the athlete in light of the findings.

UPDATE 7:29 PM EST: Maria will be suspended from tennis following her failed drug test.

After her press conference on Monday, the International Tennis Federation released a statement regarding the player's punishment.

Following regulations by its anti-doping program, the ITF announced Maria will be "provisionally suspended" starting on March 12, meaning she won't be able to participate in the Miami Open on March 22.

The announcement didn't release a specific length of time for the blonde's suspension, just that it will be effective "pending determination of the case."

Could this be the end of Maria Sharapova's career?!

On Monday, the tennis pro announced she had recently failed a drug test during this year's Australian Open, after coming in fifth in the tournament's Women's Singles competition.

The 28-year-old said in a press conference:

"I wanted to let you know that a few days ago I received a letter from the ITF that I had failed a drug test at the Australian Open. I failed the test and take full responsibility for it."

The blonde beauty explained that for ten years, a doctor has been prescribing her the drug Meldonium — which is not FDA-approved — for several health issues she began having back in 2006.

The sports star confessed that she had only known it by its medicinal brand name, Mildronat, rather than its scientific name, until she received the letter.

The athlete did admit that she received a letter in December of 2015 with all the changes to the World Anti-Doping Agency's prohibited substances, but did not look at the list of items that had been added for 2016.

The Russia native told the crowd:

As you know, the Duchess of Cambridge has made it her primary mission to raise awareness and improve children's mental health, and she regularly checks in at various schools throughout the UK.

On this occasion, the 34-year-old was still in winter style mode, wearing the same hunter green Sportmax coat she also wore on Christmas last year.

The mom of two further embraced Scottish designers by wearing a skirt from Le Kilt and earrings by Kiki McDonough.

On her last stop at Craigmount High School, Kate changed into comfy sportswear to play tennis with British champ Andy Murray's mother Judy Murray for the latter's Tennis on the Road program.

And obviously she looked just as good in track pants and a white thermal as she does in her tailored coats and shimmering gowns.
