If Terry Gilliam is involved with the reboot, we can probably assume Johnny Depp will get a role!
According to recent reports, a 3D Time Bandits reboot is in the works. No word yet on whether or not Gilliam will produce and/or direct, but hopefully he'll be involved on some level.
His most recent film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, was visually phenomenal! Could be inneresting to see Gilliam apply that visual style to the bizarre world of Time Bandits.
Do U think Time Bandits should be rebooted? Would U like to see Terry Gilliam and Johnny Depp get involved with the project?

At this rate, eff no!
Terry Gilliam has been trying to get his flick The Man Who Killed Don Quixote off the ground for years, but to no avail. Now, sources are reporting that though he was supposed to start filming this month, not a single frame has been shot.
So what's wrong this time? Same thing that is always wrong: no money!
Terry explained to sources that "financing collapsed about a month and a half ago" and he isn't quite sure how he will overcome this "hiccup" in the process. He adds he still wants to make the movie and that Robert Duvall and Ewan McGregor are still on board, but he still needs some $$$.
C'mon Hollywood! Give the man a break! Show him some financial lurve!!!!

Terry Gilliam's Don Quixote is experiencing a "financial hiccup" for his project he's been trying to make for over ten years!
Johnny Depp already dropped out of the film, causing it to be shelved, but Gilliam seemed to revive it this year even casting Ewan McGregor opposite Robert Duvall as Quixote.
But it appears there's more problems than meet the eye.
"We moved forward and then we stepped back a bit. Originally, I thought we were going to be in pre-production right now, but there's been a little hiccup… Robert Duvall is still Quixote and Ewan McGregor is still involved - all that stuff is still happening. There's just been a financial hiccup…
The sad thing is you get used to this, which is a kind of numbing experience. And to be numb is not the best thing to be creative. You gear yourself up for a certain level of work - and then boom: hiccup. Suddenly the energy had nowhere to go. That's frustrating."
That doesn't sound good!

Just the man to fill Johnny Depp's shoes.
Since Johnny will be busy battling Pirates for Disney come this fall, Terry Gilliam was forced to find someone to replace him in his latest flick, The Man Who Killed Don Quixote.
Terry revealed while at Cannes this weekend that he has decided on Ewan McGregor for the part. Ewan plays opposite Robert Duvall, who will play Quixote, as "a 21st century advertising executive who travels back in time to 17th century Spain, where he meets Don Quixote and becomes involved in adventures with him."
Of the project, Terry admits:
"Robert Duvall is one of the greats, no question - and he can ride a horse! And Ewan has gotten better over the years. He was wonderful in The Ghost. There's a lot of colours to Ewan that he's not been showing recently and it's time for him to show them again. He's got a great sense of humour and he's a wonderful actor. He's wonderfully boyish and can be charming - when he flashes a smile, everybody melts. He wields it like a nuclear bomb!"
Oh don't we know it!
Sounds like it will be a good role for Ewan! We're excited for him!
