No one likes being stuck walking behind the person who's texting.
They go too slow, they aren't paying attention, and they just hold you up from wherever you're trying to go. But now, one Utah school is trying to fix the problem!
Utah Valley University has created a walking lane just for those suffering from phone separation anxiety! The school painted bright green lines on the stairway leading up to its gym, sectioning them off into three zones: one for walkers, one for runners, and one for texters!
As of right now, the lanes are on in the university's recreation center, but 22-year-old student Tasia Briggs hopes they spreads all over campus, saying:
"There's nothing worse than walking behind someone who's texting, and you can't get around them and go anywhere."
School spokeswoman Melinda Colton explained the lines were put in place to brighten up the space. It's probably safe to say their decision to use neon green definitely accomplished that goal.
What do U think? Are the lanes a good idea? SOUND OFF in the comments!
