Whoops! Did someone forget to ask permission before putting this movie into production? We think they did.
Lifetime finds itself in a bit of a jam this week as lawyers representing both Amanda Knox and the family of the roommate she murdered are hoping to stop their original movie about the case.
Both sides have reportedly sent letters requesting the film, which stars Hayden Panettiere, not be aired and threatening legal action should they be ignore. They each have understandable reasons for not wanting to see the film make it to air. For the Kercher family, whose love one was murdered by Amanda Knox, it's a matter of trying to get past the ordeal. The film will undoubtedly trudge up the pain of their loss and that's something they just don't want to face. For Amanda Knox and her legal team, they are sure
Hayden was not the right choice for the role the film will cause prejudice in their attempt to get an appeal going.
The flick is supposed to air on Lifetime at the end of the month and so far, the network seems keen on forging ahead with the film as they feel they've " been careful" to tell the story in an impartial way.
We do think it was rather indelicate of them not to alert the Kercher family of their intentions before making this movie. They've been through so much already, we hate to think of this causing them even more pain.
What do U think?
