The Babadook is one bad bitch!

While many of you know the monster from the 2014 indie horror film, you might now know that the stylish humanoid is actually a famous queer icon who is respected by millions!

It all started in 2006 when the film was labeled an LGBT movie on Netflix:


While this was most likely a mistake, the Internet totally ran with it, and made the B into a symbol of gay representation!

The AACTA Awards End In A Tie As Australia Can't Decide Between Russell Crowe & The Babadook!

We wonder if the fact that Russell Crowe has hosted this particular awards show THREE TIMES has anything to do with this win! JK!

The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards — also known as the AACTA Awards — were presented in Sydney, Australia on Thursday.

For the first time in four decades, the Best Film prize was a tie!

Russell's The Water Diviner — for which he directed and starred — was the most successful Australian movie of 2014, while The Babadook was that rarest of creatures — a critically lauded horror film!
