Viewers of The Chew will be seeing a new face on the ABC daytime lifestyle show. Chef Jason Roberts, a celebrity chef who has already found success in Australia, has been recruited as a correspondent.
Executive producer Gordon Elliot calls the new face of food "a welcome addition" to the show and is looking forward to having him join a team of hosts that include

This could be cool.
Chef Bobby Flay and fellow Food Network star, Giada DeLaurentiis, are in "very early stages" of putting a new daytime television show together that is being described as a new-generation Live! With Regis and Kelly.
No deal is in place yet, but the project that would most likely be filmed in NYC (where Flay's restaurants are located) is currently being pitched around to interested studios.
Since ABC's lifestyle show The Chew has become a hit for the network, sources suggest that audiences now want hosts who are not only enjoyable to watch, but experts at something useful, such as cooking.
Would U watch Bobby and Giada's daytime talk show that could be on the air as early as next year?

We're glad to hear it! We've been rooting for this show ever since Mario Batali broke that bed last month! Ha!
Last week, ABC's The Chew reached a weekly AND series high in the ratings thanks to its Christmas episode featuring DWTS' Maksim Chmerkovskiy!
Thursday's show marked The Chew's #1 telecast to date with 2.77 million total viewers, and it ALSO marked the SECOND consecutive week in which the show delivered its #1 telecast! Wowsa!
Not only that, but thanks to The Chew, ABC was the #1 network across ALL target women demographics!
Looks like the other networks might be biting off more than they CAN CHEW if they try to compete with ABC Daytime!

LOL! That's embarrassing!
While fullfilling his hosting duties on the daytime cooking-themed talk show The Chew, celebrity chef Mario Batali proved he may need to start spending less time in the kitchen and more time in the gym.
In the midst of the entire cast having a food orgasm as they tasted General Tso's chicken, Mario sat on a bed and BROKE IT!
We bet he really hates the internet right now. Thanks to technology, even those who have never and will never watch his show, read his cookbook, or eat his food will forever know him as that chef dude who sat on a bed and broke it on national television.
Or they'll forget this happened before they even go to sleep tonight.
Take a moment out of your busy day to enjoy this classic blooper in the HIGHlarious clip above!

We guess people are having a hard time letting go!
Now that long-running soap operas All My Children and One Life To Live have officially gotten the axe by ABC, soap opera fans started a bit of a riot outside of the the Lincoln Center yesterday (above), protesting the new new daytime line-up - which will now feature reality series The Chew and The Revolution - while advertisers and upfront guests entered the building yesterday!
According to a brochure some are handing out, the replacement shows are merely "glorified infomercials appropriate for late-night basic cable channels, not for a major broadcast network."
Nobody likes to see their favorite shows canceled, but it's a part of life, guys!
Let's try and suck it up and move on, shall we?
