keshia defends bill at trial

Keshia Knight Pulliam is standing by TV dad Bill Cosby.

As we previously reported, the former child star (who famously played Rudy Huxtable on The Cosby Show) made her support for the scandalized comedian known as she accompanied him to court on the first day of his sexual assault trial in Pennsylvania. Oh man.

Not only did the 38-year-old walk arm-in-arm into the courthouse with the Emmy winner, but she also spoke to the press in order to defend her support of Mr. Cosby. In case you forgot, June 5 kicked off the 79-year-old's criminal trial for allegedly drugging and raping Andrea Constand back in 2005. To make matters worse, Miz Constand joins at least 50 other women who've accused the industry vet of assault.

The stand-up comedian has vehemently denied the allegations. This is where Rudy, *ehm* excuse us, Keshia comes into play. On why she joined Bill at court, the mother-of-one explained:

Black-Ish Is Pulling A Cosby — No, In A GOOD Way!

Filed under: TV NewsYoung HollywoodGolden GlobesVogue

Black-ish is one of ABC's most acclaimed series, so it's no surprise the network is looking to make a spin-off of the Golden Globe-winning comedy.

According to Deadline, the potential spin-off would star Yara Shahidi, who plays the eldest Johnson daughter Zoey, and would follow her as she heads off to college.

Talks are still in the very early stages for the new show, which would be overseen by exec producer Kenya Barris and potentially be introduced as a backdoor pilot in a spring episode of Black-ish.

This season of the hit comedy featured the 17-year-old fashionista landing an internship at Teen Vogue, so a Zoey-centric spin-off would definitely make sense.

The Cosby Show pulled off a similar move back in the ‘80s when the Huxtables' daughter Denise (Lisa Bonet) spun off into her own series, A Different World, when she went to college. Though we're hoping Zoey's spin-off is more like Lauren Conrad in The Hills!

Either way, the 16-year-old actress is certainly a young star to watch out for. For more stars to watch in 2017…

The Cosby Show Is Coming Back To TV Amid Bill Cosby's Sexual Assault Trial!

no title

Welcome to Donald Trump's America.

Like most channels airing reruns of The Cosby Show, Bounce TV removed the popular '80s sitcom from its lineup last year following a wave of sexual assault allegations against its lead star Bill Cosby.

But as it turns out, the country really isn't bothered by an alleged sexual assaulter in the White House — so, why should we care if one is on TV??

This is gonna be a must-see!

The Carmichael Show isn't the most well-known comedy on television, but that might all change after the NBC sitcom airs a rather controversial episode about Bill Cosby this Spring.

The comedy icon's fall from grace was one of the most unexpected scandals of 2015, but we're hoping that Jerrod Carmichael's take on the sexual assault claims is more than just funny; we want it to start a conversation.

Luckily, the plot for the episode sounds pretty spot on with how we felt upon hearing about Bill's accusers — after the accusations come out, a debate arises within the fictional family about whether or not to use their tickets for an upcoming Cosby show.

Jerrod spoke to Entertainment Weekly about tackling yet another scandalous topic, saying:

Bill Cosby Is Suing Beverly Johnson For Defamation!

Bill is suing another accuser.

Bill Cosby has recently turned the tables on some of his accusers and decided to sue them for defamation.

Now, he's adding another name to his list of legal targets.

The scandalized star has filed a lawsuit against Beverly Johnson regarding her claims that she was drugged by the actor.

For those of you who don't remember, the 63-year-old opened up to Vanity Fair last year, claiming the Cosby Show lead had invited her over for dinner and spiked her cappuccino during an audition at his home for a part on his popular program.

Since then, the actress shared her story on national television and talk shows. But Bill says in legal docs that she is making false accusations in an attempt to become relevant again.

In the court papers, the 78-year-old says he had never dined alone with Beverly, like she had alleged. He wrote that the only time he and his accuser shared a meal was when they were also with his wife.

Lisa still hasn't spoken directly about the scandal.

Last year, a Twitter user pretending to be Lisa Bonet posted a cryptic tweet bashing Bill Cosby. Her manager was quick to point out that the actress hasn't spoken on the matter, and that she doesn't have any social media accounts.

Now, the beauty still hasn't spoken directly about the controversy, but her sentiments on the subject are being shared my a much more trustworthy source — her daughter.

The Cosby Show Producer Opens Up Amidst The Bill Cosby Rape Allegations

Filed under: TV NewsLegal MattersSad SadSexBill CosbyControversy

Bill Cosby's former producer speaks out about separating 'The Cosby Show' from the controversy.

With allegations mounting against Bill Cosby, his former producer is hoping The Cosby Show's reputation won't crumble like that of its star.

Tom Werner is speaking out about the scandal surrounding the 78-year-old, who is accused of sexually assaulting — and sometimes drugging — over 40 women throughout the course of his career.

While the producer didn't want to comment on the comedian specifically, he did want to address what this could mean for the popular program.

Tom hopes that, in spite of the controversy surrounding its titular actor, The Cosby Show is still perceived with positivity, saying:

"The legacy of the show is obviously very important to me, because the show was a groundbreaking show and it portrayed a middle-class African American family in a very positive way. It had a lot of stories that resonated with families because people watched it together. Obviously it's a challenging time for Bill Cosby and a challenging time for the show, but I'm hoping that people will still be able to watch the show and identify with the Huxtables."

This is one of the first times the TV exec has spoken on the subject. He also released a statement about Bill back in November.
