The Flash is running so fast, it's going back in time!

The Star Wars star — who later gave voice to Batman villain Joker in dozens of cartoons and video games — played Flash villain James Jesse, AKA The Trickster, in two episodes of the short-lived CBS show.

His cartoonish performance (below) made him far and away the most memorable guest star. And now he's bringing another tour de force in a brand new incarnation of the character!

How will Mark's Trickster be different this time?

With a strong core audience from the comic book, the aid of the hit show Arrow spinning it off, and the popularity of superheroes in general, we knew The Flash would have a strong premiere.

But we didn't realize even Barry Allen could gather an audience THIS fast!

After a week of DVR viewership tallied, the Scarlet Speedster's first outing has broken ratings records at the CW.

With 6.8 million viewers, the pilot episode is the single most watched telecast in the network's history!

The most recent episode hasn't had a full week for folks to clear out their DVRs yet, but it's already clocked in 5.2 million viewers - not a bad drop off three episodes in.

Looks like the CW has another hit on its hands! Go, Grant Gustin, go!

The CW's The Flash Grabs Wentworth Miller For Role Of Captain Cold!!!

Aw yeah!

You know he'll be good on this show - he's done this network television thing once or twice!

Prison Break star Wentworth Miller is heading to The CW for their new superhero show called The Flash!!

The executive producer of the Arrow spinoff Greg Berlanti announced the news this past Friday, and viewers should expect Miller to appear by the fourth episode of the series!

Wentworth Miller will be one of The Flash's enemies, and his name is Captain Cold whose real name is Leonard Snart and he's definitely one of the best villains in the series. Which means Wentworth will have tons of material to work with!!!

And for any fans of the comics who are worried about the television show mangling the comics - hopefully this statement from the executive producer/chief creative officer of DC Comics will ease their minds. Geoff Johns said

Grant Gustin Will Race Through Your Mind All Day Long After You Watch This First Look Of The Flash!

We're just so happy that Grant Gustin always wear a rubber…suit! For protection against bodily friction, of course!

Oh, the chafing! The first look at The CW's The Flash goes by pretty fast like the titular superhero, but it does get our heart rate up, as if we were running as fast as that superhero.

SRSLY! Look away Usain Bolt because you will only be jealous!

Wanna see The Flash go faster than a speeding bullet?! Well, wait on that, because in this he just goes faster than a speeding arrow! Not too bad for a first look, eh?

Ch-ch-check out the trailer that will make you want to sprint constantly until this show comes out (above)!!!
