Wow. We seriously hope that this is NOT true!
While David Fincher's adaptation of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo was a critical success - and even nabbed its star Rooney Mara an Academy Award nomination - it apparently did not make enough money for the studio head honchos to feel confident in beginning production on its sequel, The Girl Who Played With Fire!

Oooh! This is a good category!
And it became an even BETTER category when the cast of Magic Mike jumped on stage together!
And Elizabeth Banks, who won the MTV Movie Award for Best On-Screen Transformation, was clearly delighted to be surrounded by man candy like Matthew McConaughey, Channing Tatum, and Joe Manganiello IN A FIREMAN OUTFIT!
Congratulations, gurl! We know you appreciated it!

"It was like six girls, one cup, but not even one of them got a cup! They should at least get an award!"
Although that was host Russell Brand's last minute plea for Kristen Wiig and Bridesmaids before Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth presented the MTV Movie Award for Best Female Performance, it was Jennifer Lawrence who took home the Golden Popcorn…all the way from Prague!
Of course, the fantastic actress was unavailable to accept in person because she is filming a new project on-location, but gave a lovely speech via video feed!
Congrats, gurl! You RAWK OUR LIFE.

We really thought all of these contenders were worthy, but we've gotta hand it to Shailene Woodley!
Gurlfriend DESERVED this one after her Oscar snub!
That's right, the young actress is taking home the 2012 MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance for her incredibly powerful role in The Descendants, and during her absolutely charming acceptance speech, thanked the beauty of Hawaii and how appreciative she was to spend time there for the shoot!

CBS has decided the pull the plug on one of its pilot thats a bit too similar to The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
The network tried pitting a loner, female hacker with a private investigator but Sony Pictures slapped them with the threat of legal action.
CBS then tried a major rewrite, from changing the hacker from a loner to one with a beau, to changing her sidekick, a white male PI, to a black female lawyer.
