The Hangover II Was On Everybody's Christmas List!

Bradley Cooper and Co. didn't suffer from a Christmas Hangover this year!

The Hangover II shot up the sales list to become the highest selling DVD last week. A rush of last minute Christmas shoppers moved the movie past the previous number one, The Help.

Other movies to crack the top ten in Dolphin Tale, Kung Fu Panda, and Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

Now that Xmas is over, can The Hangover maintain its top spot?

Did U get everything on your list for the holidays?

X-Men: First Class Comes In First Place

X-citing! And X-cellent!

X-Men: First Class was the number one movie at the box office weekend, knocking off last week's winner (and box office record-breaker), The Hangover Part II!

The movie made $21 million on Friday and is predicted to make about $50-60 million by the end of the weekend.

That's a solid number, but isn't quite as impressive as the franchise's previous movies, which totaled around $160 million.

Not sure why the movie isn't doing better. It's been getting great reviews, but it seems like this movie hasn't been promoted as well as a comic movie with a legion of fans should have.

Hopefully, word will get out and the movie will grab some bigger numbers.

Meanwhile, here's the weekend's top 5 movies:

1. X-Men: First Class — $21.0 mil
2. The Hangover Part II — $10.5 mil
3. Kung Fu Panda 2 — $6.3 mil
4. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides — $5.1 mil
5. Bridesmaids — $3.6 mil

So…what did U see this weekend?

Screenwriter Already Hired For Hangover Part III

writer hired for hangover part III

No surprises here, especially given the fact that The Hangover Part II made $86.5 million over Memorial Day weekend!

Last we heard about Hangover Part III, director Todd Phillips said that the movie may stray from coincidental plot devices.

Guess we'll probs learn more sooner than later, because Warner Bros is reportedly bringing on Hangover Part II writer Craig Mazin to write the script for the third movie.

Here's what Mazin had to say about Hangover Part III:

I think the third movie ends with Doug staring at a row of crosses in a graveyard. It’s everyone – his wife, his family is dead, everybody from the first movie is dead. Somebody shows up and tells him his dog is dead.

As for the thought of The Wolf Pack losing another integral member of someone's wedding party, Phillips has previously said that his idea for a third film in the franchise would be something completely different by breaking the now familiar formula of the first two. Honestly, that's the only way I would really be interested in a third one.

While the sequel brought a decent amount of laughs, the jokes and beats are almost exactly the same as the first time. While that's certainly entertaining, a third film really needs to pull out all the stops and do something truly original to finish the series. What do you think?

Couldn't agree more, Craig! We def think it's a good idea to change things up for the third movie! Not sure exactly how we feel about the graveyard, but it's a thought! LOLz.

Are U excited to hear that progress is already being made on Hangover Part III? Will U go see it when it's released?

Hangover Part II Breaks Box Office Records This Memorial Day Weekend (Obvs)

hangover-part-ii-is-number-one-at-box-office.jpg

So, exactly how much DID The Hangover Part II make this Memorial Day weekend??

Oh, just a mere $86.5 million for the three-day weekend, which makes the movie the highest grossing live-action comedy for a holiday weekend.

The movie beat out the original record holder, Austin Powers in Goldmember, which made $73.1 million. It's also the second-best opening for an R-rated film, topping The Passion of the Christ.

If you include the full 5-day opening from Thursday, the movie made a massive $137.6 million. The first Hangover made less than half of that amount in its first five days.

WOW!! We knew it was going to be big, but for a movie that didn't get the greatest reviews, this is really impressive.

Here are the top five box office results:

1. The Hangover Part II — $86.5 mil
2. Kung Fu Panda 2 — $48.0 mil
3. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides — $39.3 mil
4. Bridesmaids — $16.4 mil
5. Thor — $9.4 mil

So…what did U see this Memorial Day weekend??

Hangover 3 May Be Dramatically Different Than First Two

For Realz

That's good!

By now, we're sure everyone has heard that Hangover Part II (purposely) follows pretty much the same plot as the first one.

However, director Todd Phillips has shared that the third one may stray from this coincidental plot device.

At the premiere of his newest entry in the series, Phillips told reporters:

"I have an idea [for the plot], but the idea is just an idea. It's not even something I've talked about with the guys. My idea is serious. Deadly serious. It will not revolve around a wedding, and it will not revolve around a forgotten night, I'll tell you that much. It's just a different structure. We'll see."

We're intrigued!

He also put any rumors of Zach Galifianakis' character getting married in part three to rest, saying:

"Alan will never get married. Alan's asexual. If he doesn't know that by now, he's in trouble."

Aw! Poor Alan! Although, let's be honest, it's probably for the best. He does have a nasty habit of roofying those he loves. LOLz!

Do U think Todd Phillips is making the right decision by structuring the third movie entirely differently?

Three New Hangover Part II Clips!

Oh, wow!

So apparently, despite us seeing NEW footage in these three new TV spots (above), we still know nothing about the craziness going on in Thailand!

Except that apparently it's Alan, Zach Galifianakis, who ruins shizz again for the group. Also, looks like Mr. Chow, Ken Jeong, is going to have an extended role along side the wolf pack, which of course includes Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms!

Other than that, it all looks pretty much like status quo for the group, only MUCH worse!

We can't even tell you how excited we are for these! We CAN'T wait!

Only a few more weeks!
