Paramount Pictures has announced a 25-year renovation plan, called "The Hollywood Project", in which the El Lay studio will gradually invest $700 million into its 62-acre property.
While the makeover mostly benefits the studio's functionality, it will benefit the environment too.
Their new headquarters building, for example, will be developed according to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design standards.
Sources favoring green technology have suggested more sustainable additions such as utilizing solar power panels on every building. Since El Lay is rarely short on sunshine, we hope Paramount considers!
The renovations, which include knocking down four sound stages to build five new stages, will also stimulate the Los Angeles economy by creating nearly 7,300 jobs during construction and 12,600 jobs during operations!
