Ashley Tisdale Goes Punk Rock Mermaid For The Hub Network's TCA Party

Ashley Tisdale show that mermaids can be rockstars too at the TCA red carpet!

Darling it’s better, down where it’s wetter, under the sea!!

If you’d like to bring a little of that oceanic charm to the red carpet but still be edgy, follow Ashley Tisdale's lead!

The shopaholic blondie showed off her sea legs on Friday at The Hub Network's summer TCA party looking like a rock n' roll mermaid in a Bless’ed Are The Meek dress with sea shells over the boobies and Christian Louboutin boots.

Ashley even sported long mermaid-esque hair waves and a shiny trinket-like Chanel watch to complete her look.

She got no troubles, life is the bubbles — under the sea!!!

rl stines new book headed to theaters

Maybe this will spur some movement on that Goosebumps movie…

Children's horror book author R.L. Stine's new book It's the First Day of School…Forever! is heading to theaters!

The book has been optioned by Gotham Group, who are currently looking to attach a screenwriter before getting a studio involved.

Gotham Group CEO/founder Ellen Goldsmith-Vein has referred to the book as "a thoroughly reimagined Diary of a Wimpy Kid meets Groundhog Day." Intriguing.

The story revolves around 12-year-old Artie, whose first day at school is the worst day of his life, and he keeps re-living it….SO he must find a way to "change his nightmare."

For those of you who would be TOO scared to watch R.L. Stine's work on the big screen, the author's also got a TV series called The Haunting Hour, which is currently airing on The Hub Network.

Will U go see R.L. Stine's Groundhog Day-like movie when/if it hits theaters?

Boo! Weinsteins Ignoring The Fraggle Rock Movie!

fraggle rock movie being ignored by the weinsteins

We wish the Weinsteins would give us the chance to dance our cares away once again!

We were SO excited to report that a Fraggle Rock live-action musical movie was on the way…back in 2008!

Now, several years later, Fraggle Rock: The Movie director Cory Edwards is ready to move forward, but the Weinstein Company has been totally ignoring him!

Here's what Edwards had to say about it on his blog:

Many, many, many of you have repeatedly asked for some kind of update on the Fraggle Rock movie. The truth is, I got nothin’. There’s nothing to report except that The Weinstein Company has everything they need to move forward, and the ball is in their court. They’ve talked about getting a new writer, which I’m willing to do. They’ve talked about starting over from scratch, which I’m willing to do. But I have not heard a peep from their camp in almost a year.

I completely sympathize with all of you that are waiting for a movie, but let’s all remember that the next best thing to making a Fraggle movie is avoiding making a BAD ONE. So at least we’re doing that. Until something new happens to awaken the project from its deep coma, we can at least enjoy the untainted TV series on DVD and The Hub Network. As for me, I’m already working on new things. I hope you’ll stick around and check in here… I’ll be announcing my next project very, very soon.

Obviously the Weinsteins are going to do whatever they want to do, but in our opinion, we'd say they should give this delightful franchise a little bit of time, and maybe let Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft deal with video games….

Just sayin'!

Would U like to see the Fraggle Rock movie finally happen?
