Has The X-Men: First Class Villain Been Revealed?

x men first class villain may have been revealed

Back in August, we announced some exciting details on the plot of X-Men: First Class!

Now, it looks like the X-Men MAY have their villain!

Here's a hint at the bad guy from a plot summary for the film:

"Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not arch-enemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men."

Armageddon could def be the villain, as there have been two characters in the Marvel Universe that have gone by that name. They are…

- An artificially-created offspring of Apocalypse

- Ruler of alien "Troyjan empire"/antagonist for The Hulk

The name Armageddon could, of course, also refer to the Bruce Willis/Ben Affleck movie an event that could potentially end the world…if the X-Men don't stop it.

Hopefully we'll learn more soon. We're just excited to hear updates! We're pumped for this one!

What do U think Armageddon refers to here? Offspring? Alien Emperor? End Of The World? Liv Tyler flick?

The Hulk Is Coming TO ABC!

the-incredible-hulk-abc-tv-show.jpg

Don't groan! Wait till we tell you who's behind this!

Sources are confirming that acclaimed director Guillermo del Toro and Battlestar Galactica executive producer David Eick are finalizing a deal to create the new TV series version of The Hulk for ABC.

Taking a page from the original series rather than the movies, the new show would focus on Bruce Banner in his younger years, enabling the studio to hire one foxy hunk to play the Hulk. The process of creating the mean-green machine will be different than the movies as well. Along with minimal CGI animation, the monster will be mostly made of a mixture of prosthetics and puppetry. While Del Toro directing the pilot episode is still pending on his schedule, he will be heavily involved in the designing of the character Hulk. David will be writing the script.

Yeah, regretting that groan now, aren't you? We thought so.

You have a bit of a wait for this one to hit the small screen (they're looking a summer 2012 premiere), but if they do they're best work on this, we think it'll be worth the wait.

How many of U are stoked to see The Hulk return to primetime?

Chuck Bass Wants To Be Batman!

ed-westwick-wants-to-play-batman

Dream big, bb!

Ed Westwick recently revealed that he hopes to be the next actor to take on the iconic role of Batman!

He explains:

"It would be a dream come true to play Batman in a big blockbuster movie. He was my childhood superhero. He's a damn good fighter and has access to amazing gadgets, such as the utility belt and, of course, the Batmobile - I'd give my left arm just to sit in it."

Maybe that dream isn't too farfetched, especially in light of the recentThe Hulk and Spider-man reboots!

But we have a hard time thinking of anyone other than Christian Bale as the caped crusader these days!

What do U think?? Does Chuck Bass have what it takes to be Batman?

Mark Ruffalo Is ACTUALLY Playing The Hulk!

THANK GOODNESS they're not trying that shiteous CGI for it again! It always looks so ridic!

Mark Ruffalo recently revealed that in his upcoming flick, Super Friends The Avengers, he'll be playing both Bruce Banner AND The Hulk, instead of the filmmakers relying on CGI to animate his character's super hero alter-ego like in the previous flicks!

He explains:

"I'm really excited. No one's ever played the Hulk exactly, they've always done CGI. They're going to do the Avatar stop-action, stop-motion capture. So I'll actually play the Hulk. That'll be fun. I really love the first TV version of it, the Bill Bixby one. I'm gonna shoot for that a little bit. He was an everyman in it. He's always on the run and trying to find love. It's really a sympathetic character, before he turns into the Hulk and fucks everything up. I hope I don't bulge in anyone's face, that's all I have to say."

We sort of have a good feeling about this! Hopefully they won't find another way to eff it up!

What do U think?? Are U excited about the new Hulk??

Mark Ruffalo Talks The Hulk!

We'll be interested to see how this goes!

Mark Ruffalo will be playing The Hulk in the upcoming Avengers movie and he opened up about starring in one of the most highly anticipated comic book movies to date! Here are some HIGHlights:

On being introduced at Comic-Con:

"It was very exciting — and I realized I had some pretty big shoes to fill. Those were my heroes up there! I was a comic book fan growing up. I loved The Hulk and The Avengers — it’s just strange to be entering that world as an actor. I never would have imagined that before.

"I was very, very nervous. I didn’t know what to expect. That’s as close you’re going to get to being a rock star as an actor. The fans — they have very strong feelings toward their comic book heroes."

On Bruce Banner, The Hulk's human alter ego:

"He’s a guy struggling with two sides of himself — the dark and the light — and everything he does in his life is filtered through issues of control. I grew up on the Bill Bixby TV series, which I thought was a really nuanced and real human way to look at The Hulk. I like that the part has those qualities."

On Marvel's split with Ed Norton:

"I’m a friend of Ed’s, and yeah, that wasn’t a great way for all that to go down. But the way I see it is that Ed has bequeathed this part to me. I look at it as my generation’s Hamlet."

We wonder if Ed feels the same way!

Are U looking forward to seeing Mark as The Hulk?

Looks like all of that speculation about the Hulk casting was true!

We don't care - it's an effing AMAZING cast!

Right on the heels of the news that Joss Whedon was directing the film adaptation of the Marvel superhero team flick The Avengers, he and his cast made their official debut at this year's Comic Con, and HOLY SHIZ, you'll never guess who they have lined up to appear!

From left to right, we've got Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Scarlett Johansson as The Black Widow, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk!

Unbelievable!

If we're geeking out about this, we can only imagine how crazy the Fanboys are getting!

Seriously?

Mark Ruffalo is supposedly in talks to take on the role of The Hulk in the upcoming Avengers film now that Ed Norton is out of the picture.

We don't really see it, but he's a pretty good actor so maybe he could pull it off!

Thoughts??
