George Clooney is a marvelous man and a marvelous actor, but he's also a pretty dang good director.

Following his political drama The Ides of March, Clooney has decided to bring another political story to the big screen.

Obama's Hollywood BFF will direct a film based on an article called The Yankee Commandante, which was published in the May 28 issue of The New Yorker.

The article tells the true story of an

The Humble Artist

George Clooney Thinks Bradley Cooper Ryan Gosling Is The Sexiest Man Alive!

george clooney thinks ryan gosling is sexiest man alive

We absolutely agree with this!

During a recent interview, George Clooney opened up about People's Sexiest Man Alive…and he thinks his Ides of March co-star Ryan Gosling should have gotten the honor!

Here's what Clooney had to say about it:

"He [Gosling] really wants it. He's been saying…the whole time we were on the set of Ides, he was like, 'How did you pull that off?' So I called up Brad Pitt and we worked with him for weeks on the walk…we told him how to train…everything."

LOLz. While we are certainly cool with Bradley Cooper as People's Sexiest Man Alive, we would have DEFINITELY approved of Ryan getting chosen instead!

What do U think? Team Gosling….or Team Cooper???

For Your Consideration…

for your consideration ads

We LOVE us some Ry Ry, but there's no effing way that Green Lantern deserves any of these awards, except MAYBE Best Visual Effects or something…

The first round of For Your Consideration ads have been released, and we're not surprised by TOO many of the films going for that Best Picture Oscar!

We're glad to see Moneyball and The Ides of March here…but what about that other Ryan Gosling movie we saw this year? Where's Drive??? Hopefully we'll see that one show up in round two!

Check out the first For Your Consideration ads (below), and let us know which films U think deserve to win big this year!

P.S. Green Lantern?!?!?!? Is that a joke or what, Variety?!?!?!?!?!?
