The Guys Who Made The Inbetweeners Are Making A Road Trip Movie

he Inbetweeners

Fans of British comedy, rejoice!

Damon Beesley and Iain Morris — aka the chaps behind the cult classic UK sitcom aaand movie (and the future classic American TV show) The Inbetweeners — have just been given $15 million to make an American The Inbetweeners-style flick.

Like the UK movie, the American feature is about a group of high school boys that go on a trip and get into all kinds of raunchy and dangerous adventures.

Unlike the UK version, the American movie will not be called The Inbetweeners and it's gonna have a whole new set of characters and actors. So probs no one from the MTV version of the The Inbetweeners TV series will be involved with this new movie.

UGH!

We've been waiting patiently for the MTV show to premiere, now we also have a movie to wait on.

LIFE IS SO HARD! LOL!

MTV Picks Up US Adaptation Of The Inbetweeners!

Oh, geesh! You'd think they would have learned after how badly they effed up Skins!

MTV has officially picked up a full, 12 episode season of their re-imagining of the UK series The Inbetweeners, which will premiere most likely in lieu of a second season of Skins in 2012!

The series tells the story of four awkward teenage boys, who will be portrayed this time around by relative unknowns Bubba Lewis, Joey Pollari, Zack Pearlman, and Mark L. Young.

MTV's head of programming David Janollari says:

"It's got an incredibly strong and authentic young voice. We were really successful in adapting it for our audience and making it sound like a quintessentially American suburban experience."

Here's hoping this is true!

We'd love to see this, along with Teen Wolf, the new Beavis & Butthead, and I Just Want My Pants Back bring some old-fashioned, decent scripted TV back to the network…but we're not holding our breath!

What do U think?? Will U watch this remake??

The Biebs Wants An Inbetweeners Cameo

justin bieber wants cameo on inbetweeners

Although many Americans have not heard of the British show The Inbetweeners, Justin Bieber has - and he loves it!

The singer said:

"I came across The Inbetweeners and, man, it was the funniest thing I had ever seen. It was so real to actually what goes on at school. So many high school shows try and glamorise school, but this was real and that's what made it so funny…

If they are going to make a fourth series or a movie, I would make sure I was free to do a cameo. If they want me I'm there."

Whatever Bieber wants, Bieber gets!

MTV Stealin' More From The Brits!

But don't try this at home, England! We think whatever version of the Jersey Shore you'd come up with would just FAIL!

Along with developing their own version of the hit-Brit show Skins, MTV is reportedly ordering a pilot remake of The Inbetweeners. The critically acclaimed teen comedy is still in the casting stages, but MTV is pretty excited to acquire the rights, saying that the show is "unique and bold, its approach to contemporary teen coming-of-age stories is universal and simply hilarious, and it will resonate immensely with our core demographic."

We wouldn't mind watching it, if only to see how they will eff it up royally!

Are U excited to see MTV try and screw with the show?
