Screenwriter Alex Kurtzman has a few entrees on his plate but thankfully doesn't mind speaking with his mouth full!!
Apparently, the studios who asked Kurtzman and his writing partner Robert Orci to draft scripts for reboots of The Mummy and Van Helsing, want them to dig deep and channel their inner darkness!

Has it been five years already? Then it's time for another reboot!
Universal has decided it's time to utilize one of the oldest monsters in the book and is rebooting The Mummy, which was last seen in theaters in 2008.
Although the producer of the last three films is returning, the latest interpretation is said to be "dark" in comparison. Considering the guy who co-wrote Prometheus is writing the screenplay, we have no doubt the movie will have a very distinct vision from its fluffy predecessors.
Are U excited for Hollywood to unwrap another Mummy movie?

Hollywood has lost a very talented screenwriter WAY before his time.
Screenwriter Kevin Jarre has passed away at 56-years-old from unexpected heart failure.
Jarre's screenwriting credits include Tombstone and Glory. He was also a co-writer/executive producer on Stephen Sommers' The Mummy.
Kevin Jarre's adoptive father was legendary Lawrence of Arabia/Ghost composer Maurice Jarre, who passed away two years ago.
Our thoughts go out to Jarre's family, friends, and peers during this very difficult time.
To this day, Glory is still shown in history classrooms. Kevin's work will be remembered.
