no title

Jimmy Fallon is an open book lately!

The Tonight Show host got candid in an interview with The New York Times this week, speaking on the backlash over his chummy sit down with President Trump.

Fallon admitted he was "devastated" by the outrage over his friendly interview with the soon-to-be POTUS last fall, admitting he was "just trying to have fun."

Speaking of a good time, the comedian also addressed rumors of his partying ways in the same interview — and he wasn't thrilled about reports saying his drinking was spiraling "out of control."

Fallon responded to an October report from the New York Post claiming NBC execs were worried about his drinking habits in the wake of his two hand injuries and a chipped tooth.

The 42-year-old shrugged off the rumors with a simple fact: there's no way he can be the peppy Tonight Show host five nights a week while simultaneously getting smashed every night. He explained:

Jimmy Fallon Admits He Was 'Devastated' Over Backlash From That Donald Trump Interview: 'I Was Just Trying To Have Fun'!

What's the harm in trying to have a little fun?

For Jimmy Fallon, it's nationwide criticism and losing command of the late night zeitgeist — if that "fun" is giving Donald Trump a chummy hair tousle on The Tonight Show.

The affable late night host finally opened up about his widely-scorned interview with the future President in a new interview, and it's not exactly something he's laughing about.

So THIS Is The Real Reason Donald Trump Loathes CNN So Much?

Donald Trump has made one thing clear during his presidency: he's not a fan of CNN.

It's hard to pinpoint just when the President started loathing the cable news network, or as he calls it "FAKE NEWS/The CLINTON News Network/The Devil's Reporters" — but the New York Times may have found Trump's breaking point.

After the second presidential debate last October, the soon-to-be POTUS sent CNN Worldwide president Jeff Zucker a personal email calling him "the most disloyal person" and even vowing to "get even." Whoa!!!

According to The Times, Trump "believed that he had gotten Zucker his job at CNN" and was therefore EXTRA butthurt over the network's increasingly aggressive coverage of him.

This is why Trump may have taken it as a betrayal when CNN panelists were especially tough on the then-nominee during the October debate, which came on the tails of that infamous "grab ‘em by the pussy" confessional tape.

After the second debate, which many reported Hillary Clinton had won, Zucker received an email from the Republican nominee through his campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks.

And just as you'd expect, the email includes some alternative facts, extra parenthetics, and a vague threat telling the news head to watch his back, reading:

Bill Maher caused a lot of controversy by booking Milo Yiannopoulos on Real Time last week. One of his other scheduled guests, Jeremy Scahill, even dropped out, causing Maher to respond:

"If Mr. Yiannopoulos is indeed the monster Scahill claims — and he might be — nothing could serve the liberal cause better than having him exposed on Friday night."

Donald Trump's Bathrobe Is The New Tiny Hands!

no title

Donald Trump is apparently VERY unhappy with everyone's image of him.

No, not as a racist, unqualified, dishonest fledgling tyrant — he's fine with that. We mean as a lonely know-nothing walking around the poorly lit White House in a robe.

After a New York Times report based on multiple insider accounts referred to the President as spending a lot of time "watching television in his bathrobe."

It was this aspect that Trump seemed to take the most umbrage with, as Press Secretary/gum enthusiast/Melissa McCarthy muse Sean Spicer responded:

"That story was so riddled with inaccuracies and lies that they owe the President an apology for the way that thing was written… I don't think the president wears a bathrobe, and definitely doesn't own one."

Twitter was quick to jump all over this strange defense, both registering their disgust with the thought of Trump in a bathrobe AND pointing out multiple old photos around the Internet that seem to disprove Spicer's words.

Donald Trump's Response To Woman Accusing Him Of Sexual Assault? 'Look At Her… I Don't Think So'

He's getting so gross that we're even starting to feel bad for Melania…

Donald Trump has had so many different scandals since his "Grab them by the p*ssy" audio leaked on Friday, that he's really had no choice but to fully embrace his role as the country's biggest sexist.

At least, that's the only rational explanation for his actions Thursday afternoon when he decided to double down on his attacks against journalist Natasha Stoynoff!

As you may recall, the longtime PEOPLE writer (above, right) recently shared her own 2005 Trump tale of terror where he allegedly forced a kiss between the two without consent.

Unfortunately, the former reality TV host still has supporters, which means he had an audience today at a rally in West Palm Beach, Florida where he defended himself against Natasha's claims with — you guessed it — even more sexism, saying:
