On August 5, 2003, a new generation of teen angst was defined in the seminal Fox drama The O.C.!

Not only did this teen soap opera make every adolescent want to flee their homes and escape to the sandy dunes of Southern California, but it's cultural impact still lives on. (Only now, in a lesser form we know as reality TV.)

Though the hit series certainly launched the success of its stars, not every cast member has been able to maintain their fame since the show went off the air in 2007.

Mischa Barton was arguably the "it" girl of the mid-2000s after playing the troubled girl-next-door Marissa Cooper, but never saw the same success as she did after her early exit from the series.

But what have other cast members like Rachel Bilson, Adam Brody, and Ben McKenzie been up to since The O.C. ended? Find out (below)!

It's no secret that Mischa Barton has had a lot of personal struggles she's dealt with over the years.

Woah baby!

This week could very well go down as the most stressful time in Ben McKenzie's life.

Not only does his superhero drama Gotham return to FOX Monday night, but his costar/fiancée Morena Baccarin is expected to give birth "any minute" now!

The former O.C. star stopped by TODAY this morning to promote the Batman series' mid-season premiere, but all Tamron Hall and Willie Geist pretty much cared about was Ben's daughter.

This will be Ben's first child — and Morena's second — but while he's excited to be a dad, he's also finding the experience "terrifying" since he's still taping new episodes!

Here's hoping Morena can hold out until the weekend so he can at least be by her side for a few hours. LOLz.

Ch-ch-check out Ben's adorable TODAY interview (below)!!!

Ryan Seacrest Is Producing A New Show Called Squad Goals! But Is It About Taylor Swift?!

no title

It's official — we now live in the age where a TV show can be sold with a single hashtag!

It's been reported that Ryan Seacrest is producing a new comedy for CBS called Squad Goals!

Before you get too excited, the show isn't going to be about the adventures of Taylor Swift & Co. (but srsly, why doesn't THAT show exist?) but will instead follow a group of twentysomethings who met in college and realize it's time to finally grow up!

The script for the multi-cam/hybrid series comes from comedians Aaron Karo and Lindsey Rosin — who co-produced stage musical versions of The O.C. and Cruel Intentions!

Video: Kanye West Auditioned For American Idol

While this seems like a fun premise, Internet trending shows have yet to stick their mark on network TV.

ABC cancelled Emily Kapneck's 2014 comedy Selfie – which centered around a narcissistic, Instagram obsessed girl played by Karen Gillan — after barely one season due to low ratings.

And CBS' Sh*t My Dad Says, based on the popular Twitter account, didn't fare much better.

But people are growing more and more addicted to smartphones and social media every day, so maybe this show will become a huge hit!

Either way, we hope the American Idol host is setting his #SquadGoals very high for this comedy!
