It's about time!

We've actually been very impressed with their tunes!

Taylor Momsen has dropped Gossip Girl to focus full-time on her band, The Pretty Reckless, and the actress/singer recently announced that they'll be hitting the road for a six-week tour across North America!

She explains:

“We’re busy rehearsing new songs. I’m excited to play them for our fans and give them a taste of what’s to come from The Pretty Reckless.”

Excellent!

And we're excited to hear them, gurl!

And you know what? We like it.

Taylor Momsen and The Pretty Reckless are touring Europe with Evanescence and even though they won't have any new material for a new album until 2012, they're still breathing new life into their show by doing a cover of The White Stripes' Seven Nation Army.

Taylor's voice totally fits this type of song. It's actually pretty good. And we're also really happy she's wearing a shirt. Nice job.

We think Jack White would be proud!

Former Gossip Girl Taylor Momsen has apparently been spending some time with a new gentleman friend, "Modfather" Paul Weller's son Natt Weller!

The two were reportedly seen enjoying each other's company at the Barclaycard Wireless Festival after Little J finished the set with her band, The Pretty Reckless!

A source explains:

"They're well-matched given their joint love of black eyeliner."

Ha! Well, there you have it!

They said it so we didn't have to! LOLz!

Taylor Momsen recently performed with her band, The Pretty Reckless, at the 2011 Download Festival at Donington Park in Leicestershire, and just as we've come to expect from her, her outfit of choice was VERY risque for a 17-year-old!

Check out a photo of her almost nip-slip, which she thankfully obscured with some strategically placed duct tape (above)!

And the shortlist just keeps getting stranger and stranger…

We reported earlier in the week that Simon Cowell was considering Enrique Iglesias as a host for the upcoming US edition of X Factor, but it looks as though if that doesn't work, he's heading to the Upper East Side to try and secure none other than Little J herself, Taylor Momsen, for the job!

Seriously!

Sources close to the production have revealed that the show's producers think that The Pretty Reckless singer is perfect because she is "young, hip, and edgy."

Yeah…but like we said about Enrique - does she have any experience hosting a show like this? And we may be the only ones who still think this, but we'd be bummed if she didn't return to Gossip Girl at some point!

Don't get it twisted - we think she'd do just fine - we just are a little concerned with how all over the place these casting announcements seem to be!

Time to buckle down and make some decisions, guys!
