UPDATE 3:44 P.M. EST: The Madison Square Garden Company responded to Marie Claire's article with the following statement:
"This is one person who continues to attempt to represent the entire team of Rockettes. This time it's in a story that is the result of an unauthorized recording that violated the confidentiality of all of her sister Rockettes. While Mr. Dolan stands behind everything he said during the meeting, no one in that room believed they were speaking publicly. Everyone in the meeting had the chance to speak their mind in a safe setting, and many did. Her secret recording was deceitful and cowardly and has betrayed all of her fellow Rockettes. Posting this story is beneath the ethical standards of Hearst. We are deeply disappointed in their decision to post this story."
Do YOU think recording the meeting was "cowardly"?
Though the Radio City Rockettes will be smiling, just know their upcoming inaugural performance is a real kick in the head.
Management of the dance troupe has stated that individual Rockettes may opt out of the group's performance during Donald Trump's inauguration this month after multiple dancers expressed unwillingness to perform for the polarizing politician.
Backstage, however, management is reportedly tapping to a different tune and has encouraged dancers to "tolerate" the backlash the company has received since their announcement, because they don't really have a choice!

According to a report from Marie Claire, manager James Dolan recently called a private meeting with the dance company amid the controversy and told them to suck it up — and no, he wasn't talking about their performance posture!
After one dancer told Dolan it sounded like he was asking them "to be tolerant of intolerance," the Madison Square Garden executive chairman reportedly replied:
