The Who's Roger Daltrey recently spoke out against the quality of music that now becomes mainstream, and he singled out Simon Cowell as partly to blame!

He explains:

"We really need to break away from The X Factor and American Idol - that Simon Cowell thing. I really think the music industry will beat this slump and come back stronger. Groups like The Who, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles wouldn't have made it past the audition stage, let alone be shown on TV. That's the joke of it. The music they make on the shows is absolute tripe. He's made a good industry out of it, but it's belittled the power of music. He wouldn't know what the "X Factor" was if it bit him on the bullocks. There's people who like caviar and people who like fish and chips - but most people like fish and chips."

We think that's a pretty unfair generalization, considering how many legitimately talented singers have emerged from those types of competition! And many of them would have not had the means to succeed in the industry without Simon and his shows!

But every one has a right to their own opinion!

Keith Richards is denying claims that he attacked Swedish journalist Markus Larsson while on a promotional tour for his new autobiography.

The journalist had given The Rolling Stones a scathing concert review back in 2007, and had described them as "amateurs," which Keith had demanded a public apology for at the time.

Would meeting this man again really incite so much anger in Keith that he'd hit him?

Here's what a spokesman for Richards had to say about the situation:

"At the conclusion of the 20min interview, Keith Richards jokingly tapped the journalist on the head after his questions got a bit silly."

TAPPED? There's a big difference between tapping and attacking, Keith.

Either way, it's probably best to keep your hands to yourself during interviews. Something to keep in mind, bb!

Newlywed couple Ewan and Julie Searle got the best gift that anybody can get - the gift of GaGa.

GaGa approached the couple at the Raven Pub in Chiswick, West London, and asked them if they were celebrating, to which Julie responded "Yes, we got married."

In response to that, GaGa said "That calls for a song," and she asked if anyone could play guitar.

A French guy named Sam got a guitar, and they played The Rolling Stones' Gimme Shelter together.

Unfortunately, GaGa's entourage stopped anyone from recording it, so we won't get to hear GaGa's impromptu performance of the classic Stones song…unless someone at the pub was REALLY stealthy.

Congrats to Ewan and Julie! And congrats to GaGa for once again reminding us why she is SO awesome!
