roots-drummer-must-clear-song-selections-with-nbc-post-michele-bachmann

Unfortunately, it seems that actions always have consequences - even if the initial action was effing HIGHlarious!

Roots drummer Questlove caused a bit of controversy for Late Night With Jimmy Fallon when he chose to play Fishbone's Lyin' Ass Bitch during Michele Bachmann's walk-on song, and apparently now, he's being forced to clear every song choice with three NBC executives!

Fallon explains:

Glenn Beck Is NOT Pleased About Michele Bachmann Late Night Incident, Calls Jimmy Fallon 'A Girl'

Seriously, Glenn?!?!?!?

To recap, Jimmy Fallon's Late Night band The Roots gave an impromptu performance of Fishbone's Lyin' A*s B*tch as Michele Bachmann's intro song during her appearance on Monday's show.

After hearing about it, Glenn Beck opened up about the incident on his show (above), and he is absolutely FURIOUS about it!

While everyone's entitled to their opinion, we are disgusted with Glenn for calling Jimmy "a girl" in his arguments!

Come on, Glenn! Referring to Jimmy as a girl as if it were a negative thing???? Just awful!

What do U think about Glenn Beck's anti-Fallon tirade? Do U agree with any of his points???

Michele Bachmann Blames Late Night Incident On 'Sexism'

Looks like Michele is NOT ready to let this Late Night incident go!

To recap, Michele Bachmann appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Monday night, and house band The Roots played the song Lyin' As* B*tch as her intro music. (above)

Then earlier today, we heard that Jimmy apologized to Michele via Twitter…but it seems that she's still not satisfied because she wants a formal apology from NBC!

Here's what she had to say about it:

VH1 DIVAS Celebrates Soul Will Feature An AMAZING Lineup!!!

vh1 divas celebrates soul announces lineup

This is going to be DIVA-MAZING!

VH1 has just announced that this year's DIVAS show will focus on soul music, and they've got quite a lineup set!

Performers who will be featured on the show, which airs on Dec 19, include Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson, Jill Scott, Florence + The Machine, and Jessie J!

Not only that, but The Roots will be featured as the house band for the performance. Coolio!

Here's what VH1's EVP of Original Music Production & Development Lee Rolontz had to say about it:

"This years’ telecast will showcase the vast impact soul music has had on the 21st century’s music and pop culture landscape as our talented and diverse lineup will attest. This year’s Divas offers a modern twist on soul music, all while tipping its hat to the legacy of key cities that created this musical heritage."

Sounds wonderful! We'll DEFINITELY be tuning in for this one!

What do U think? Will this be the best edition of VH1 DIVAS yet???

It's our favorite kind of week! A very Beyoncé one!

You're Just Too Good To Be True, Nick Jonas!

Doing good while paying homage to good music! Solid!

On Tuesday, Nick Jonas hosted a benefit in NYC to boost donations for The Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village, an orphanage in Rwanda. The Stand Up & Be Counted event was attended by many a celebrity and supporter, who not only got to make a difference in some poor kids' lives, but also got to listen to the smooth crooning of Nick, backed by The Roots.

Check out the video (above) to hear Nick belted out the Frankie Valli classic, Can't Take My Eyes Off You.

Beautifully done!

P.S. - People could've been clapping with you Nick, but then they would've had to put down the FlipCams and then we wouldn't be watching this right now. Priorities!

Jimmy Fallon And Stephen Colbert Do Friday!

Whoa! We so so excited!

Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Colbert did their rendition of Rebecca Black's Friday and we have to say, it actually sounds kind of good!

Singing with The Roots and American Idol's Taylor Hicks (Yes, Really), we're digging this version of Friday.

Watch their cover (above) and have fun, fun, fun!
