Jean Grey Famke Janssen Joins Hansel & Gretel Movie

famke janssen joins hansel and gretel movie

She may not be returning for X-Men: First Class, but Famke Janssen WILL be returning to the big screen as "the leader of the witches" in Paramount's Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters.

Other confirmed cast members include The Town's Jeremy Renner and Clash of the Titans' Gemma Arterton.

The story takes place 15 years after the brother/sister duo escaped the gingerbread house in the original fairy tale. The siblings have become "specialized bounty-hunters looking to take down the witches that almost killed them."

First, we learned about Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Now, there's Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters. What will come next…

We're Not In The Town, Anymore! Ben Affleck In Talks To Direct Iran Thriller

ben affleck in talks for iran thriller

Looks like Ben Affleck's directing job on The Town gave him some serious points with Warner Bros, cause they've got another project for him…a bigger one.

Affleck is currently in talks with WB to direct Argo, a political thriller set up by George Clooney and his producing partner, Grant Heslov.

The project is based on a Wired Magazine article, and it's about a "stranger-than-fiction CIA rescue operation during the occupation of the American embassy in Tehran in 1979, when six U.S. diplomats were held hostage."

As it happened, the CIA set up a plan where a fake "Hollywood film crew" would go on location in Iran…but really they'd be there to rescue captives from the country.

Sounds exciting to us! And given Affleck's track record with acting directing, we're thinking he could be a very solid choice for this project.

Are U intrigued by this project? Do U think Ben Affleck's directing skillz will do the story justice?

The Dark Knight Rises Has TWO Female Leads! Which Of These Women Will Win Roles?!

six-actresses-up-for-lead-roles-in-the-dark-knight-rises

Holy shiz!

The downside to this is that only two of these AMAZEBALL actresses are going to get roles, and we want to see all six WERK IT with the caped crusader!

Casting for The Dark Knight Rises is well underway, and this week, we're hearing that a plethora of A-list talent want to sink their claws into two different roles as female leads in the third installment of Christopher Nolan's Batman reboot.

One of the roles is rumored to be Christian Bale's new love interest, which some have speculated to be Julie Madison, previously portrayed in the shiteous Batman & Robin by Elle McPherson, while the other is a villain (Catwoman, PLEASE!).

The actresses in question include Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts, Blake Lively, Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway, and Keira Knightley!

Nice! Normally we'd say get rid of that dumbass Serena from Gossip Girl, but after gurlfriend's performance in The Town, we remembered that she and character on the CW show are not the one in the same, she has every right to be a contender for a part in this flick!

How on EARTH are they going to choose just two?!

What do U think?? Who should get a role??

Jersey Boys Movie Coming Soon!!!

film version of broadway play jersey boys coming soon

In 2006, before Real Housewives and even before Jersey Shore, some people associated New Jersey with the Broadway play Jersey Boys, which won the Tony for Best Play that year.

While there's nothing wrong with being associated with alcoholism and spray tans, we're sure that the Garden State will be happy to gain all the wonderful associations that come with this play, such as phenomenal music and crime and adultery.

The play tells the story of how Frankie Valli and his crew became an American pop sensation before they even turned 30.

GK Films reportedly acquired the rights to the former Broadway play for a substantial seven figures!

Heres' what Graham King of GK Films had to say about the project:

"Jersey Boys is one of the most electrifying stage shows any of us has ever seen and it has all the ingredients to become a big commercial hit movie. So to now be collaborating with the whole team, Frankie, Bob, Marshall and Rick, to bring that magic to the big screen is just a wonderful dream come true."

We'll be excited to see how this film progresses. Should be inneresting to see who they cast as 'the boys.'

Are U looking forward to a Jersey Boys movie?

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps Kicks Ass At The Box Office

wall_street_money_never_sle.jpg

It's another hit for Shia LaBeouf!

The sequel to 1987's Wall Street was the number one movie this weekend, bringing in $19.9 million.

Co-starring Michael Douglas, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps gave director Oliver Stone his best box office opening yet. Pretty impressive for a 23-year-old sequel.

The weird, creepy movie about owls with the super long title, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole, came in number two with $16.3 million.

Ben Affleck's The Town was still going strong in its third week, coming in at number three with $16 million, while Easy A and You Again rounded out the top five.

What did U see this weekend??
