Sure, Disneyland's Star Tours is a decent enough ride.

But when you think Star Wars theme park rides, wouldn't you rather pilot an X-wing through the trenches of the Death Star or ride a speeder bike through the forests of Endor?

Well, you may soon get your chance to do that and more!

Chairman and CEO Bob Iger has confirmed that along with the release of Episode VII, we may also be getting to experience Star Wars on a whole new level! Iger said:

You better hop on your Google Calendar and erase absolutely everything on it from 6:00 AM, May 23 to 6:00 AM on May 24, 2014, because you may need to make necessary travel arrangements to get to Disney, by magic carpet or otherwise.

Disney Getting Sued…Over Muppets!

disney being sued over muppets

Hopefully Disney can work all of this out before that next Muppets movie is released!

Former Married…With Children executive producer Russell Marcus has filed a lawsuit against Disney/Jim Henson Co./The Muppets Studio, claiming they haven't paid him royalties for coming up with the idea of a Muppet Workshop.

For those of you who haven't experienced the magic of a Muppet Workshop, it's kind of like a Build-A-Bear Workshop, only you build Muppets instead of bears (well, unless you build Fozzie…)

Marcus claims he signed an agreement in 1998 to become more involved with the "Muppet brand," and then in 2000 he pitched the Muppet Workshop concept, and a year after that Henson signed a written agreement with him which ensured that he'd get 2.5% of royalties from Muppet Workshop-related profits.

After Disney bought the Muppets though, they started placing Muppet Workshops in FAO Schwartz and then Disney theme parks. When Marcus asked about them, he says Disney claimed they haven't profited from the workshops.

Marcus is NOT convinced though, and he's suing Disney for "breach of contract, fraud and deceit, and unjust enrichment," and he's demanding compensatory damages.

Sorry to hear it, Marcus. If you in fact came up with the idea, we completely understand how you'd want the proper monetary compensation….but as Kermit says, it's not easy being making green.

A Magical Weekend With Mom At Disney

Perez Hilton and Mom Teresita Momma Perez at Disney World Magic Kingdom

Mom's birthday festivities concluded this weekend when we sent her and a friend of hers from back in Miami to Orlando.

Well, little did Teresita know that we were gonna show up as well and surprise her! We did and we had THE BEST time at all four Disney parks.

We had never been to Animal Kingdom before and that park blew our mind! The safari was so rad! We saw bats for the first time ever! We were transfixed by them! The Expedition Everest ride was really cool as was the dinosaur ride.

We hadn't been to Epcot since 1997 and going back there was super fun and a flashback to our youth! We saw Captain Eo, which was so rad! And we loved seeing all the tweaks and updates, as well as riding the new attractions, like Test Track, which was fun fun fun.

The Tower Of Terror in Orlando is WAY better than the one in Anaheim. Plus, we had never been on the Aeorosmith Rock'n'Coaster before and that was so thrilling - you go upside down! - that we had to ride it twice.

And, of course, the Magic Kingdom is still the most magical place on Earth! So special! We loved it all, especially seeing the subtle changes they made to the Haunted Mansion.

We just wish we had more time here to enjoy all that Disney has to offer. There's never enough time!

And there's never enough time to celebrate mom and tell her how much we love her!

Te adoramos, mami!!!!!

xoxo

P.S. Thank you THANK YOU thank you to Greg Bell and everyone at Disney for taking such good care of us. We appreciate you all so much! You made our trip more than exceptional! Can't wait to come back!
