This poor, poor writer to have to deal with the verbal — and physical — abuse of Thomas Gibson!
Virgil Williams, a writer for the CBS drama Criminal Minds, spoke to a group of students at Ghetto Film School Los Angeles during a recent visit, and in the process of discussing the process of making television, he also revealed more about that infamous altercation that led to Gibson's firing!

Now, Gibson has his own story about what happened, but Williams is adamant that it wasn't a brush-by, or an accident, but an intentional kick to his shin that caused all the trouble!
Williams said about that fateful day:

Thomas Gibson insists he's innocent regarding the alleged kick that got him the boot from Criminal Minds.
The CBS drama fittingly kicked the actor off the series, after he supposedly swung his foot into writer/producer Virgil Williams' shin.

However, the 54-year-old is finally sharing his side of the story — and he swears he never actively kicked the staffer!
The South Carolina native told People the entire argument was sparked by one line in the script, saying:

Hmm… maybe this isn't such a bad idea!
In a brief interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Thomas Gibson touched on his dramatic firing from Criminal Minds and what he plans to do next in his career.

For those who may not remember, long before Criminal Minds even existed, Gibson starred in Chuck Lorre's husband and wife comedy Dharma and Greg. The actor portrayed Greg, an uptight yet lovable guy married to a wacky hippie named Dharma.
During the show's five season run, Thomas received positive reviews from critics for his comedic chemistry with costar Jenna Elfman. It was undoubtedly a great time in the 54-year-old's life.
Now that T.G. is a free agent, he's thinking about reviving his funny bone to salvage what's left of his career, telling THR:

As if Thomas Gibson wasn't making enough headlines after his firing from Criminal Minds, it turns out the 54-year-old actor also secretly filed for divorce from his wife Christine two years ago. Surprise!
According to court documents obtained by Extra, the Chicago Hope star petitioned to end his marriage after 21 years back in the summer of 2014.

Gibson said in the docs:
"The marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities… that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation."
His longtime bride responded by filing a "general denial."
Over a year later in December 2015, the South Carolina native filed a counter-petition to get the divorce back in motion, but no other filings have been made since. If nothing happens by October 25, the case will be dismissed.
Soooo what's happening here? Are Thomas and Christine trying to make things work or nah?
We guess only time will tell!

Gone but not forgotten!
Earlier this week, Thomas Gibson made the brave decision to join Twitter in order to keep in touch with his fans after his very public firing from Criminal Minds. Has anyone warned the 54-year-old about internet trolls yet?

The saga continues!
It was only a week ago that Criminal Minds star Thomas Gibson was suspended from the crime drama before being let go entirely!
Well it didn't take long for CM alum Shemar Moore to share what many thought was his two cents on Gibson's firing by cryptically talking about karma.

But later some paparazzi caught up with the studly star and asked him what he meant by his "karma" comments and apparently his comments had nothing to do with Gibson, despite their bad blood!
After asking if Moore was specifically talking about Thomas, the 46-year-old replied saying:

Karma's a b*tch, right?
Well, Criminal Minds alum Shemar Moore seems to think so as he's recently spoken out on the subject on Instagram. Of course, this (now deleted) video comes shortly after his former costar Thomas Gibson was FIRED from the CBS crime drama and estranged pal Keith Tisdell was sentenced to probation and manual labor on embezzlement charges. Oof!
