It’s gonna be hella huge!
At least, that’s what pre-ticket sales are indicating!
Based on recent info from sites like Fandango and MovieTickets, grossing sales for Hunger Games on its opening weekend (this Friday!!!!!!) could reach $125 million here in the states.
That amount is cray cray!!!!!

We knew The Hunger Games would be big, but we didn't know it was going to be this HUGE!!
The popular movie ticket website Fandango is reporting that their first-day advance sales of The Hunger Games has eclipsed ticket sales of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
In fact, it's the company's biggest first-day advance sells EVER in its 12-year history.
Hundreds of showtimes are already sold out and the movie doesn't even come out until March 23.

Aww!
The Broadway revival of Noel Coward's Private Lives, which stars Kim Cattrall and Paul Gross, will reportedly close early on December 31st!
Apparently, the comedy was expected to run until February 5th, but due to poor ticket sales, the schedule was cut short!

Football is a pretty good business to be in these days because analysts say the National Football League's television profits are about to go up 60%!
An 8-year extension of the league's TV rights deal with broadcast partners CBS, Fox and NBC is promising the NFL $3.2 billion a year until 2021. That's more than double what they are raking in with their current contract.
But wait, there's more money to be had from the sport that every network wants a piece of. Sources report that previous deals with ESPN and DirecTV are expected to lock in another $6 billion in media fees for the NFL.
That's A LOT of money and it's only from the TV rights! Now imagine how much money the NFL is making with merchandise and ticket sales…
Can someone say, "CHA-CHING!"

Although the play got off to a rough start, Chris Rock's broadway debut, Motherf**ker With A Hat, is extending its run through July 17.
The show was originally scheduled to close on June 25, but has since garnered six Tony Award nominations, including one for Best Play!
Congrats!
This show has had as much drama off stage as on, considering it was almost closed before it began with very little audience demand, but luckily for Chris his first play on Broadway is a success!
Good luck at the Tony's!

Whomp whomp!
Seems like nobody wants to see Chris Brown perform in Perth, Australia.
Ticket sales for his upcoming concert have been so slow, promoters have been forced to take drastic measures to fill seats.
In fact, they've gone so far as to offer a 3-for-1 ticket deal for his show at the Burswood Dome.
Not even a 2-for-1 deal???
Ouch!!
Despite the fact that tickets are not selling, promoters refuse to move the show to a smaller venue. Concert organizer Daniel Prichard says that ticket sales tripled the week after Chris lost his cool on the set of Good Morning America.
Ew, tacky. Is that the best way to promote their headlining act?
No wonder tickets aren't selling.

This is good news coming on the heels of us reporting the unfortunate story that Rihanna might be considering canceling tour dates in the States because of poor ticket sales.
All of this, according to a number of sources including Live Nation, a leading place to buy tickets, is simply inaccurate.
Here's what's really up:
30 shows in North America are on pace for sellout business even though they won't play until June and July. Furthermore, not only are hip-hop/R&B shows historically known to be late-selling, the entire live business has trended more to a late-buying sales pattern during the economic downturn.
Well this is certainly fab news for those who are dying to see RiRi this summer!
We're glad to hear all of this, because Rihanna has DEF been working hard on this tour and it looks INcredible!
Rihanna, keep it up!
Will U be seeing her on tour??
