If you thought country music was all about pickup trucks and drinking beer, then you're dead wrong!
OK, so there actually is a decent amount of talk about cars and booze, but Tim McGraw says his partying days are officially behind him!
The country music icon recently posed for the cover of Men's Health where he showed off his impressive guns and his INSANE six-pack abs that he's been hiding under that pesky shirt all these years! But more importantly, he talked about the moment he realized he needed to stop partying:

We've always been a fan of Tim McGraw here, and that's doubly true now that he's confronted his demons and gotten his alcoholism under control. He has a beautiful wife and family, and he needed to do what needed to be done.
Ellen's show is mostly a lighthearted time, but we'd be remiss if we didn't applaud her for talking about serious thing when they need to talk about. That's why Tim opened up on her show about the positive change he made!

Tim McGraw has been a staple of country music since forever!
Just because you're a country superstar with massive amounts of talent, doesn't mean you're happy and healthy.
Tim used to live an unhealthy lifestyle that affected his career and his family life.

Listen up avid
texters drinkers. There is a lesson to be learned here.
For many years, Tim McGraw struggled with a terrible addiction to drinking alcohol. In a new interview, he finally comes clean about coming clean and what actually forced him to sober up.
Of course, he attributes his wife Faith Hill to helping him through the transition of sobering up, but the eye opener for him to finally take the important step was his love of text messages. He explains:
"I only learned how to text because back when I was drinking, I would get in trouble when I would call my wife, and she would find out I was drinking. And then I started slurring my texts, and I figured hell, I gotta quit drinking. Thank God nobody knew anything about Skype back then — I would've never stayed out of trouble!"
Interesting. Those are pretty glaring reminders that you don't have a handle on your own life.
We're glad to hear Tim took heed to the signs and got himself back on track. Look at all the good it has done him.
