We've just learned the Dawn Holland, the Betty Ford staffer who got into a kerfuffle with Lindsay Lohan this week, has been FIRED from her position at the clinic for telling her story to TMZ. According to Dawn, shortly after her interview broke on the website, she was called by the head of the clinic, who told her she was in violation of a patient confidentiality agreement and was thus terminated from her position. Dawn reveals that she scolded her superior for not having her back in this situation and called him out on placing her on administrative leave, which she insists "9 times out of 10 that means the employee will be fired."

Well, she got that right at least!

Dawn maintains that while the Betty Ford people wanted her to keep everything quiet, she was fervent about defending herself from what may have been said about her in the press. She explained:

"The story was already way out there in the open before I spoke. If Lindsay is allowed to say, 'Fire that bitch,' I should be able to defend myself."

Defend yourself, yes. Give a play-by-play that compromises everyone involved, including yourself, we think not.

Unless The Beaver becomes a huge success and relaunches Mel's career, it looks like life will continue to be tough for Gibson.

To add to his plethora of pre-existing problems, Mel's church has stopped all congregational services, due to the fact that a photo of Mel's daughter was taken on church grounds and sent to the media.

Here's what a source had to say about Mel's reaction to the whole situation:

"[Mel was] extremely concerned about the invasion of privacy."

And more from the source:

"He is not just concerned that photos of his daughter were taken at the church, he is concerned for the privacy of his parishioners."

Here's what an email from Church Heads said about the suspension of services:

"There will be no Masses here at Holy Family Chapel until further notice."

According to the source, the Church will still offer limited services.

Well…it could always be worse, Mel but not much.

He must have paid out some mayjah $$$$$!

The lawsuit filed against Woody Harrelson by former TMZ photog Josh Levine has been dismissed.

Both sides reached a settlement but no details have been released. Levine accused Woody of breaking his video camera, choking him and ordering his bodyguard to attack the paparazzi during the incident in 2006. The actor countersued for invasion of privacy.

Lesson learned.
