On Friday, Celine Dion and Kathie Lee Gifford comforted each other following the recent deaths of their husbands. The talk show host's longtime love, Frank Gifford, passed away last year of natural causes at the age of 84.
And the iconic singer's husband, René Angélil, lost his battle with cancer in January at 73 years old.
On the most recent installment of the TODAY show, the grieving widows applauded each other's strength after the painful passings.
The 62-year-old commended the Canadian crooner for being so brave during such a tough time, saying:
"You gave strength to everybody. Because you're strong, we can all be strong. Everybody is waiting to see how you're doing, you know? To give them permission to be okay."
Miz Dion responded:
"I have to tell you I feel very strong. I lost the man of my life, but I cannot live thinking this way. I have to say I found the best man in the world like you did for yourself and we were both extremely lucky."
This caused Kathie Lee to tear up as she emotionally added:
"We're all going up someday."
The musician also opened up to the TV personality about how René's death has affected their children. Watch as she shares her sad story in the video (below):
