Turn around… bright eyes!

Last night’s episode of X Factor wasn’t ALL about One Direction — after all, Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez had to announce somebody’s elimination!

The top 12 13 was dropped back down to 12 again last night, after finalists CeCe Frey (once again) and Jason Brock landed in the bottom two!

The judges’ panel was split down the middle, which led to the contestant with the lowest amount of votes — Jason — being sent home.

Last night’s episode of X Factor featured the top 12… er, 13 finalists taking on songs from the movies!

In Melanie Amaro season one-esque fashion, judges Simon Cowell, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato and L.A. Reid realized they made a “terrible mistake” in letting 13-year-old Diamond White go last week… and brought her back!

However, even though the teen gave it her all with some Whitney Houston, it was the boys from Huntington Beach who delivered yet another solid performance!

The Beach Boys Bros have done it again!

Even though Demi has a mega-crush on all three guys, she and Simon definitely got into it over One Direction! Bad move or smart strategy?? Hmm!

Being a pioneer in ending discrimination trumps not taking home the crown, in our opinion!

Jenna Talackova, the first transgender young woman to compete in the Miss Universe Canada pageant, did not take home the title during last night's competition, but she DID make it to the top 12, and was one of four other contestants named Miss Congeniality!

Looks like American Idol producers have got some inneresting stuff planned for their next season.

The theme to the season is "transparency," and producers are looking to amp up the behind-the-scenes element to the show.

One plan that the Real World Idol team is working on is the possibility of having the Top 12 live together in the Hollywood Hills.

No word yet on exactly how footage from the Big Brother Idol house would be incorporated into the show, but it likely depends on the quality.

Idol producers are also considering taking contestants on a road trip to Vegas, for an integration with Cirque du Soleil's Beatles show Love.

Aside from all those changes, insiders have said that the talent this year is "amazing," which would be a nice change from season nine's less-than-fantastic roster of talent.
