Last night’s episode of X Factor featured the top 12… er, 13 finalists taking on songs from the movies!

In Melanie Amaro season one-esque fashion, judges Simon Cowell, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato and L.A. Reid realized they made a “terrible mistake” in letting 13-year-old Diamond White go last week… and brought her back!

However, even though the teen gave it her all with some Whitney Houston, it was the boys from Huntington Beach who delivered yet another solid performance!

The Beach Boys Bros have done it again!

Even though Demi has a mega-crush on all three guys, she and Simon definitely got into it over One Direction! Bad move or smart strategy?? Hmm!

Wonder if we’ll feel any of that tension tonight when 1D takes the stage for the results show!

Last night, American Idol took an axe to its cast, whacking half the contestants off the show.

But not without some fireworks!

Jimmy Iovine from Interscope came to the show and gave some really harsh criticism. The judges came to the rescue of the contestants, though they admitted they were a bit too easy on the boys.

J Lo even admitted she wanted to punch Jimmy!

But once the dust settled, America voted in their top 10, which seemed like an easy decision. The top 10 singers voted to sing next week include:

American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez put on quite the display at the Top 13 Finalists party on Thursday night.

The 41 year old flashed some skin on the blue carpet in a cut off blouse, black high-waisted shorts and plaid shrug.

We're not exactly sure what she was going for with this look, but kudos for getting our attention.

P.S. An anklet, really?
