Ugh, how horrible.
On Saturday, season nine Top Chef winner, Paul Qui, was arrested for domestic violence against his girlfriend of a year. According to cops, Paul went into a violent rage which left his gf with noticeable injuries.
Here's what allegedly went down — Qui's partner claims that she woke up to the reality star partying with a group of friends. The woman told authorities the Top Chef winner had indulged in cocaine, Xanax, alcohol, and marijuana all night.
Unfortunately, the GF and her son were woken up by the party so she reluctantly agreed to join the group. After a few drinks, Paul reportedly accused his lady love and friends of wanting to engage in group sex. The 35-year-old got so mad about the alleged flirting and "became enraged and starting knocking over furniture".
Matters only got worse when P.Q.'s partner tried to leave the house. Not only did Paul allegedly push his girlfriend away from the door, but he also slammed her against the walls and doors.
An arriving officer noticed the victim had cuts and bruises on her forearms in addition to having a "slightly puffy and swollen" jaw.
So sad. We just hope she is doing better now.
The foodie was arrested on charges of unlawful restraint and assault causing bodily injury to a family member. He was released on a $20,000 bond.
Sadly, Paul isn't the only Top Chef star who has been arrested for domestic violence. Former contestant Aaron Grissom was booked on similar charges in 2014.
We'll keep you updated as this case progresses.
