Donald Trump Responds To Brussels Attack By Recommending More Torture, Says As President He'd Do 'A Lot More Than Waterboarding'
That's what TODAY hosts Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie asked the leading GOP Presidential candidate Tuesday morning.
Trump started off by explaining how not allowing "certain people" into the country in the first place would help — not too far from his normal xenophobic platform.
But next he suggested that as President he would seek to "expand the laws" to allow more torture of suspects, saying:
"Frankly, the waterboarding, if it was up to me, and if we changed the laws or had the laws, waterboarding would be fine. If they could expand the laws, I would do a lot more than waterboarding. You have to get the information from these people."
