When Pixar was nearly finished with Toy Story 2, a nameless employee accidentally tripped some sort of self-destruct sequence on the company’s hard drive and they lost HUGE chunks of data — which, in a computer generated film, is everything.
The files containing Woody and a few of the films most memorable sequences were inadvertently deleted and the company feared they lost over a year’s worth of work and millions of dollars.
